@twilightpho you probably have +1 level to skills from something.
And you still get the 30att buff and full heal from bosses even with level 9 steal, the steal rate is just like 1% lower or something which doesn't really matter at all.
Lol, Is it just me? or does 2nd job seem to have like.. everything maxed? And don't max MC, it's useless. And if you need to choose between steal and sb, steal is obviously better; 30att buff on bosses, and full hp healed
@Singuy: Well, Savage Blow hits more targets and does more damage, and that's usually more important than a chance of dropping potions. YMMV depending on what kind of parties you get into I suppose. Dark Flare does DoT in addition to reflected damage, so it's rather useful now.
@Singuy I actually think DF is really useful. Since it attacks in intervals of like 1 second or so (think its like 900 ms), and deals a decent amount of dmg, it lets you kill the gollux spawns while you kill eye/forehead.
OT: I max everything besides steal(9) and phasedash (14).
Don't max Steal in 2nd job. Don't max PhaseDash/Midnight Carnival for 3rd job.
Steal is outdone by Savage Blow. Midnight Carnival is outdone by Assassiante during 4th job, but until you actually get around to putting points into that it's a pretty nice 1v1. PhaseDash on the other hand is used mostly for pushing and not for damage since it's such a slow-arse skill, so there's no harm leaving it un-maxed.

Tbh, I have never really used MC at all.. .-. That's just me though.
I didn't max steal and I should have split my skill points between DF/MC because of my empress gear.

But we don't use savage blow past 4th job, steal is really useful in party play maps such as HoH.
Also, isn't dark flare still useless after the update?
