Killer Wings Question

How does it work exactly? I'm just returning to my veteran evan (only level 90) and whenever I use killer wings, it does put the lock over someone but once I use like Fire Breath or Dragon Thrust, it seems to no longer work since those moves hit all other monsters. Can someone explain to me how this and other moves like illusion and phantom imprint all work together?
You're going to train on alot of mobs on your earlier levels so yes, Fire Breath would be better~
Killer Wings is only needed like once to lock on a boss so you can focus all your 1v1 skills on them instead of their summons
Oh WOW, now I understand, I'm stupid. Duh. Okay thank you.
OH okay, that makes sense. See I don't have illusion yet so I haven't tried it out. I just thought that it meant ANY move used on it will hit ONLY that monster. But then, isn't KW relatively useless till later levels? I mean it seems that Fire Breath is much stronger than KW, and KW is our strongest 1v1 move at that level.
That's because Fire Breath and Dragon thrust are all mobbing skills. o:
If you use Killer wings and it locks one monster, any other 1v1 skill like Illusion will always hit that locked monster.
