Haha. I've read Uzumaki twice already.
Amazing story, they even made a movie out of it, but the actors don't fit their parts.

You could get into some suspense like 'Doubt' but I'm not really too knowledgeable in that genre, seeing as it's a pretty small part of the whole that is manga

It's hard to find good ones like Uzumaki. Most of the other ones rely on shock images (survival one w. prehistoric creatures), sex (fanservice), boring plot (higurashi) or wannabe cute stuff totally out of place in a horror manga (franken fran). Doubt was good tho.

Manhole was a relatively good horror manga. At least that's what I think it's called o_O. Just search it on tenmanga.

It seriously scarred me. I had trouble getting to sleep for ages because of it. I saw one glimpse of the hole after they went in, and...ugh. I'm not ever looking at that again.

@above Higurashi is awesome! It's not nearly as disturbing, and it's super addictive. Never saw past episode 12, though.

Edit: Also, what's trypophobia? I don't want to Google it in case I find that manga again.

Try franken fran, its horror and dark comedy, but you'll see some VERY twisted things, such as Guro (naked violence kinda), so I don't advise it for some people. I find this show really hilarious though, after a while its not scary but just some twisted comedy, lol.

Hohzuki Island: i really like this one, its about a group of elementary schoolers who have all been abandoned by parents who all are sent to a strange island with a school and a few teachers. Seemingly the teachers are nice, but there are strange rumors that go around on the island such as murders and ghosts, and soon the kids find out they can't trust them.
It's not too scary, but it's pretty suspensful and gives some chills, I like the story

Jisatsu Circle: Kinda wierd and disturbing horror manga about people having suicide

And then theres mai chan's daily life...which I don't reccomend to anyone because its straight out nasty, but thought I'd put it out there for some curious viewers.

"Gyo" is great and it's also by Junji Ito. I love his style of art

Since i've actually read/watched many horror stories/films in my early years, i'm much used to this.
