Locked out of account.

Well, due to Nexon's new security campaign, they're requiring people to change their password every so often. A few days ago I tried to log-in to maplestory, and was told to go to the website because I had to update my information. So I did, and it said I had to change my password to continue using my Nexon account. So I tried to change it, and it tells me I need to verify my email. This is a problem, as I no longer have access to the email, as it was through an old ISP that I no longer subscribe to. So it's impossible for me to change password, verify email, or just play a Nexon game.

So I sent a ticket asking if it was possible for them to change my email, or let me into my account. The response (Which came only a few days later surprisingly) pretty much said that I could no longer use that account if I couldn't verify the email.

Has anyone else come across this problem? And have they been able to fix it somehow? It's kind of disheartening having all of my items and characters sitting on an account nobody can even play on.

The only thing I can think of would be to send another ticket, but don't make ANY reference to the current situation involving having to change your password.
Don't even MENTION the word "password" in it.
Just tell them that you've changed ISPs and no longer have access to your old e-mail account, so you need to change the e-mail to an new one on your new ISP.

Also tell them you can't go through their new procedure on the Maple site because you no longer have access to the old account to verify that it's you requesting the change.

The problem with contacting Nexon is their people are so overworked that they have to come to a snap decision when they look at a support ticket and send out a response based on what it looks like the person is asking about, then quickly go on to the next ticket.

If it looks like you've got a password change problem, they'll just send you the kind of response you got before.

If you make it just about the ONE issue, that of changing your e-mail, maybe then they'll send you the procedure needed to change the e-mail by going through the personal identification process the others have described here.
If you switched to a different internet service provider and your old email was associated with your isp, you can always contact them via their customer support and work out a way to get your email back. Most companies are usually helpful to do so. 90% of the time they do it quick and easy, the other 10% might try to charge you.
I guess I'll try this first, it'd probably be easier if it worked. Hopefully AT&T doesn't try to screw me...

@imjesse:
I know I used a fake last name for my account, but had the real first name and birthdate, but they denied my request to change email. Hopefully it works for you.
There is a way to change the email linked to the account but ONLY if you registered with your actual REAL information. Meaning, real FIRST and LAST name, and birthdate. If this is the case, and you did register with these, you can fax a form to nexon with PROOF of your name/birthday (such as a photocopy of a drivers liscense or passport) and they can change the email
OH GOD. I was underage when I made my maplestory account and probably did a fake birthdate... ;_;
That's the only thing they sent me =/ Try some local stores around you and ask if they have one you could use. Library? Parents/friends work in an office who can do?
I'll ask my mom if she knows a place with one, thanks for the help by the way.

This is a hell of a process, similar to the process I would have had to go through to get my SSI card back if I didn't find my lost wallet...
Try to remake the e-mail account that you use to use. Sometimes they just delete themselves after extended periods of inactivity. Orrrr, you can send the ticket and ask Nexon to e-mail you a change e-mail account form (I had to do this when mine was gone and it worked in 2 days).

Is there a way to do this without faxing? I honestly don't even know anywhere that has a fax machine these days.
