Current state of the game
I haven't played in quite a while, occasionally dropping in to see what's new. I was wondering how the current situation is with needing to spend money.
As an example, I was wondering how feasible it is to be able to solo hard magnus, without spending any money on NX before hand. (Just assume it's with whatever class is best at killing him). One of the things that was the biggest cash grab when I played was HP washing, which costed ungodly amounts of either real money, or impossible to achieve levels of mesos. I'm far enough out of the loop to not know if HP washing is even a thing anymore.
So basically I want to know if it's at all feasible for a player to get away with not spending any money these days, and if not, was is basically the minimum amount you would need to set yourself up to build up funds through in-game means?

Some classes are easier to boss with, and to answer your original question. No, you can get a soloable range without nx, it will just
take a year or so and aggressive farming. Also you really don't need to solo, once you get to that point all you are really doing is filtering
your equips till you hit max. Basically time or money pick your poison...

Hero is a late bloomer class, for me I felt their potential rise at level 160+. they have ok mobbing skills but they are great bossers who hits very hard. The thing is that they burn a lot of HP pots, so I suggest working on your Demon Slayer to farm mesos and potions to give to your Hero. I pretty much farm Power Elixirs from my Paladin and Dark Knight from daily bosses and I end up giving them to my Hero.

I mostly spent NX on cosmetics and permanent pets to support the game. I suggest you to get a permanent pet and buy all of the pet skills it can learn, and also the 90 day shop permit. The best things to do to make mesos is farm gollux + commerci + elite bosses. Search up guides about them. Use owls from the regular stores to price check the drops to sell and set up your shop at the free market once you have a lot of items to sell.
@AntiSenpai: No you cannot, with 50k range you don't deal enough damage to kill it. But please prove me wrong and submit a video so you can rub it in my face.

There are a few things unfunded players can do, such as gollux + commerci, which when combined earns 50-100m per day. But it is extremely difficult to work your way up to decent equips with these dailies, you have to either merch, hack, or spend money to get to a level where you can kill endgame bosses.

Those are pretty much still the only ways you can make mesos.
You can kill elite monsters too as they give nice drops that can yield you like 50mils or more.

Okay, let me rephrase, I can kill Hard Magnus with 50k range and godly control.
I guess my last question would be, is farming at no~low funding possible at all? When I played, you either merched, hacked, or spent money, there was no feasible way to earn mesos aside from those.

That was NORMAL magnus, not hard.

So top level bosses are pretty unreachable for free players?
Also forgot to ask, is hacking still rampant in this game? When I played, you basically couldn't go to any popular map without seeing a dozen hackers fighting over a spot. Wouldn't want to play the game to begin with if it was still like that.
To put it simply, if you are relying purely on IRL money to build your equips, you have to be prepared to spend quite a bit of money to have any hope of soloing any of the big profitable bosses, we are talking several thousand dollars in certain cases(depends on class).
Unless you spend a lot of time merching, you won't be able to do hard magnus. HP washing doesn't really exist anymore
