Maplestory 5th Job Advancement Idea
Hmm.. I was thinking... What if at level 180 you could do a 5th job advancement. You would get some new skills, more buffs etc.
It makes sense
30-70 = 40 Levels
70-120 = 50 Levels
120-180 = 60 Levels
Some 4th job skills people tend to get at the end would be moved to 5th job.
Some skills would only require to be maxed at 20.
5th job will consist of mostly party buffs
Edit1: Everylevel after 180 you gain 5 SP
This applies to adventurers only
Discuss.
NOTE: THIS IS AN IDEA, NOT ACTUAL FACTS.. okie.

Maybe 5th job should have a support skill and an attack skill. For example:
Night Lord: Darkness-Control the darkness so that monsters have a 20% chance of missing you and your teammates. Gives you permanent 40% HP increase.
Quad Throw- Throw 4 stars at 320% damage.
Bishop-Ultimate Bless. All effects of Adv. bless buffed up.
Angel-You transform into an angel, preventing damage by monsters. In this state, no buffs are allowed to be buffed, but you are allowed to keep the ones you already had on. You attack 3x as fast, and you have a passive effect of +100% damage. 30 second duration, 1 minute cooldown.
Ya, something like that.
@shadowthedark: Our 4 advancements are just split up into sub levels.
Our skills are on the same level as yours.
If they increased the level cap to 250 and made the 5th advancement at 180 it would be sequential:
1-30 = 30 levels
30-70 = 40 levels
70-120 = 50 levels
120-180 = 60 levels
180-250 = 70 levels
I don't think this should be adventurer only. Adventurers are pretty strong as of now.
Also, take in mind you can increase the level cap up to 250 with current MapleStory.
@shadowthedark: That doesn't change my opinion.
So now adventurers get 5th job but the rest of us don't? It has nothing to do with raw power. Adventurers are capable of holding their own against other classes, especially with the newest update.
No point with the 5th job.
there will be no 5th job. stop making this thread over and over.
notice he said its an idea...
there will be no 5th job. stop making this thread over and over.
As an Evan, I hate the suggestion of a 5th job -.-
I actually like this suggestion. It's a good fix. STILL, how would 5 SP be enough to max the new 5th job skills AND the 4th job skills moved to 5th job ? I'm sure that's not enough. For example, We Bowmasters don't even have enough SP to max our essential 4th job skills. So in the end, you're just giving us 40 extra SP to max 5th job skills.
That's another problem.
Hmm.. I understand what you're saying. But the max level requirement for 4th job skills would be reduced to a point you could max the essentials up until level 180. Then you would get 40 SP to increase skills that only go up to 5 or 10, increasing by large amounts every level.
Reducing the max level would give even LESS levels to max skills. DUH.
If you meant raising the max level cap, then he should have suggested that from the start. I don't ever assume any implicit ideas.
Nonetheless, I still disagree with raising the level cap because it would not only be unfair to those who have reached 200, there is absolutely no point in doing so.
You're right I didn't suggest an increase in level cap, because it's true it WOULD be unfair to those who have reached 200, unless they were automatically pushed to the new level cap, which in that case would be okay i guess. nonetheless a new level cap isn't needed. 180-200 is like pure hell, I personally haven't got my own that far, but i've trained for friends, and simply it isn't fun. There is no motivation at 160+ to continue playing. This new job advancement would return motivation. Evans are the only class that have anything similar to this and I think it's a great idea. Even if we didn't have an actual advancement, just a new skill every 10 levels after 160 would be great.
But i still think there should be a new job advancement at 180

This is actually interesting.
As your idea goes so far, I disagree with a 5th job. What would the purpose of a 5th job advancement if you moved current 4th job skills to 5th job ? And if you suggest adding new skills, there just aren't enough levels to max out all the skills, especially in only 20 levels.
Every level after 180 you gain 5 sp.
Too many classes for a 5th job ><
