Weird Error - Never seen before

How do I fix a /device/harddisk/dr2error? I keep getting this throughout the day and it kind of is pissing me off... especially in PvP. -_-
Ah I see. Thank you for your help! Yeah... it happens when I lag from hackers or when my internet connection dies. Huh. I'll run the check in the morning (on laptop atm) and hopefully it'll all work out. Thanks again!
If those are the only two times it happens, it's probably related to the Maplestory client timing out because of the loss if the Internet connection.

If that's what's happening, then the error you're seeing isn't the cause of the problem, it's just a result of the Maplestory client crashing from being d/c hacked or having a bad Internet connection. Those are the actual causes of the problem, then the disk error can safely be ignored.

Mine usually locks up my computer completely when Maplestory disconnects if I can't get to Task Manager right away to kill the Maplestory process.

You might be able to call your Internet Service Provider and have them test your line to see if they can fix anything to stop the disconnecting, but unfortunately there's really nothing you can do about hackers.
Did you go to the "My Computer" --> Local Drive C: --> Properties..?

That screenshot looks like the Computer Properties. You need to select the C: drive before Properties.

It's odd that it only happens in Maplestory... does that happen only when you're being lagged out by hackers, or does it happen at any other times in the game?
I'd still run the disk checks just to make sure it's nothing to do with the hard drive itself.

What exactly happens, and does it happen consistently in the same places, or is it just random?

Anything that says "hard disk error" could be a serious problem and should be looked at before it gets any worse and ends up losing everything on your hard drive.

The first thing I'd do is run the built-in Windows tool that checks the hard drive filesystem for errors.
Open "My Computer", then RIGHT-click on the "Local Disk (C: )" and select "Properties".
On the Properties page click the "Tools" tab at the top and then click the "Check Now" button in the "Error Checking" section at the top.
On the little popup click the top box, then click OK.
This will take a while as it scans your hard drive looking for errors and fixing any it can.

If it says the Disk Scan can't be done because the disk is in use and asks if you want it done the next time Windows starts, say "Yes" and then restart the computer.
This will run the scan before Windows starts up and begins using the disk.

If you still get the errors, you should run the Error Checking procedure again, but this time check BOTH boxes in the little popup. This will take a LOT longer to do, but it will verify that every sector on the hard drive can be read, and if there are any problems it will attempt to fix them.
Does this work for Windows 7? Because I can't find the Check Now button under the only Tools related tab in my properties page. D:

Also, this ONLY happens when I play MapleStory. Basically, it usually happens when I lag. Like when No-Delay hacks are being used on me while I'm the Ice Knight. When that happens, the screen freezes and an error shows up with that message. When I hit "Okay" on it, it just keeps reappearing for a while everytime I hit "Okay". It goes away after 3-6 clicks usually.

Then Maple just closes. It's also happened when my internet connection gets cut. It's been happening more and more lately and started about 2 months ago. It would only happen occasionally so I thought nothing of it and thought it was just a random DC. Now it's really starting to bug me.

I've only seen this for MapleStory. Vindictus, Bad Company 2, Perfect World, etc... none of them get this error. I'll try to get a picture of the message if it pops up again.
