University - Bachelor of Arts

So I'm already a Senior, and I'm planning to apply to this University (in Canada) to pursue Journalism.
However, I'm not exactly sure what I have to major/minor in to pursue it, and I don't want to apply as "Undeclared".

Here's the link to all the possible Major/minors in Arts for the University.
http://www.foa.ualberta.ca/Undergraduate_Programs/Majors_and_Minors.aspx

I was leaning towards a Sociology/East Asian Studies and Creative Writing as a minor. (Which ARE my strong points, but they're all that useful imo.)
I'm not sure how that would play out, though.

I was also going to pursue something in the government (Int'l relations, public relations, translator)
but I can't bear to learn French, which is required in the gov't.

get an english degree, even when you realize that journalism is dead you'll still have many job options.
english used to be a joke but it's actually not bad
Do you really know what you're getting into? I saw a documentary recently and it's main thesis was graduates of University are not able to find jobs, specifically people with art degrees.

If you have a plan after you get your degree then go for it.
Yup that's the main reason why I switched from pre-journalism to computer science.
