Samsung Galaxy S3 or iPhone 4s/5

Can I get an opinion and a possible pros/cons list on both devices?

I'm getting a new phone next month and I'm not sure which one is necessarily "better".

S3 is better or equal in about every feature and its way cheaper. And it doesn't look almost exactly like the previous model. Personally I'm waiting for the Note II cause it has even better specs and bigger screen (not everyone likes the big screen tho).

Texting: Will be a personal opinion
Music and Movies: iTunes?
Emulators: SIII will probably be better because of the bigger screen. iPhone may run a little smoother though.
As what @Caeg said, the Iphone is also lighter? You have to weigh the pro and cons for YOUR use. It will always be biased because they always have one higher point and one lower point.

What are you planning to mainly use it for?
My friend has an S3, apparently the wifi connections have to be reset about every other time or it won't connect to the wifi. I've never had that problem on my iPhone 4.

Whatever you buy you'll end up loving it in the end.

Asking basilmarket advice on technology only leads to biased answers. Honestly it really depends what you're looking for. Power wise, they going to be tied. Size wise, the SIII wins. In tests, it seems the iPhone is more durable then the SIII also. Android will be open source while the iPhone is not unless jailbroken. The iPhone is more fluent then the SIII. SIII is upgradable to a bigger battery and more memory as for the iPhone it can't. It's all personal preference really. What you're willing to sacrifice and what you're not willing to give up. I would also check out the Lumia 920. Really cool phone in my opinion.

I bought the SIII like 3 weeks ago (birthday) and I have no regrets. However, people tend to like apple products more, my brother bought the iphone 4 so its pretty much up to you.

I personally prefer iphone 4s because of smooth interface and no lagging when i do things, the only con about it is that the best apps cost a lot of money.
Samsung phones have no other pros than the bigger screen. The biggest con in them is that the OS gets laggy overtime so you will be forced to format the phone.
Hope my comments helped your decision.
