But- if the problem is that the HARDWARE in your computer isn't able to handle Minecraft, the solution isn't likely to be so easy. With a laptop, you can't upgrade the video hardware at all, unfortunately. With a desktop you can add a new video card that should be able to work with Minecraft fairly easily.
