Secondary weapon/shield->emblem/weapon->weapon/emblem(the one that you didnt cube in the second place)->rest of gear(though i would recommend you to start with the gear that wont be easily replaced).

Cubing is never an option for me unless the item is character exclusive and can't be bought. (Eg. Demon Slayer's Demon Aegis)
It is way more worth it to buy a well potted gear than manually cubing.. I have learnt my lessons to never cube, I always end up with things like %mp or %crit rate in the end.
Well, based on my luck anyways. It is definitely more wise to use the money to buy already potted gear. Unless you are a gambler and likes surprises... then yea...

Tbh.. after weapon is all cubed to perfection... and everything else is clean u can start anywhere.. doesn't really matter. Get everything potted and start by cubing the items with the worst pots.

Secondary weapon, then items that are untradeable(or items that are well-scrolled) followed by tradeables.
