Horntail Help
Hey all,
I've been having some troubles with Horntail lately in regards to the damage he deals. As soon as I start the fight I start getting hit around 11-12k in damage and the boss essentially two shots me. I know for a fact that I can kill him if I can survive (51k clean, 66k buffed, 110% boss) but I just die super fast. This is quite unfortunate as I could really use the leveling help! Any suggestions?

Hey, thanks everyone. It was the tail for sure!
Don't get touched by the body or tail, try to move away from them and attack from a distance. I'm wondering how you take 11k because even I only take 1k (useless addition you should probably ignore)
Kill the tail first and use your hyper to avoid seduce for the 30 second period, then you'll have a better chance in general to not die from seduce later
Job change to a Paladin.
On a more serious note, I think getting a pet would be worth the investment.
Don't touch the tail, and kill the tail first and the legs second, otherwise seduce will cause you to walk into them and die from touch damage.
1-1 can be avoided because the location where they strike is indicated on the ground, and make sure rage is always on for the damage reduction.
Get invincibility extension potential so you have a bit more time to hit the potion button, and more likely to survive from seduce (overall/top must be epic or above, you can grind for purple senior overall from monster park extreme since they are always epic rank potential)
Panic everything just for the blind and damage reduction.
If you have a pet or a perma pet just buy the auto pot thing from cash shop however other things to watch out for is if horntail seduces
Yeah watch out for that tail it hits REALLY hard.
Just farm up some power elixirs.
It's up to you to figure out if it's touch damage or 1/1. If it is touch damage from tail/body, you just need to stand at a safe spot (won't be knocked away due to stance, unless you get hit by falling rocks). If it's 1/1, there's nothing you can do except use potions quickly. Luckily, the 1/1 attacks leave a marker on the ground where it'll hit, so you can prepare yourself. In any case, you should be prepared to use potions often during the early portion of HT, since there are so many body parts attacking.
I have like 1400 M.Def.. I think that may be the reason? Touch damage isn't that bad, (6.3k P.Def)
HT's body and tail do a lot of touch damage. Either that, or you're getting hit by 1/1. Either way, use potions.
