Downloading Maplestory the Old Fashioned Way?
Hi guys, i wanna download maple on my other laptop so i can play it on the go however when using the downloader given by nexon half way through it crashes and says Maplestorydownloader.exe has stopped working. So i tried to look on the site for the alternative which is the old fashioned way however i cant find it did nexon take it away? If someone could help it would be appreciated

Yes, Nexon removed the direct download link from their site. They want you to use the normal download process, which is way cheaper for them, but often has problems.
I used to use "the old fashioned way" all the time, but sadly they caught on to the fact that too many people must have been doing it that way and killed it.
However, if you're able to handle RAR files and uncompressing them, the link that TickleMeChad posted above to a thread on the Maplestory forum may be a solution.
Someone has uploaded the Maplestory installation files to a download host and it appears they're virus free (although I haven't actually tried them myself), so that might be worth a try.

I had the same exact problem, currently the Maplestory Downloader is bugged. However there is a fix for this, and I myself tried it and it worked for me.

thats all nexon has ... i remember there used to be off site options but thos are gone
oh yea steam i forgot about that ill be sure to try it

no a while ago nexon had to options to download maplestory, their downloader with pando media booster or another one dubbed Old Fashioned Way which is just a download in your browser. I cant seem to find it on their website anymore

I'm pretty sure if you try and find a PS that is up to date with GMS, they will have an old fashioned download.
