It's never been released in GMS before. Ever. Also, it's not been out for years, it's been in the data for years, it's been out since recently. It is "now released" since it's released now. It wasn't released before. The only thing you could possibly nitpick is that he said "new Lord Pirate chair," but technically it is new, just not new to the data.
