I think the general rule of thumb is if you don't have a stead source / flow of income then you should always buy items cubed.
A hint I will offer you is that instead of buying them cubed just buy them already epic/unique.

I've found so many deals on warrior tops/bottoms that were unique with crappy lines for maybe 400~600m once you've bought them just throw a few cubes on them and hope for the best. In my eyes, there are very few instances where you can get an item from rare -> unique in 600m which is about 11 cubes.
The only except is that you have to cube things if they are not tradable Chaos HTP/Shoulder/Belt.

you should buy already cubed items, if you want to make yours maybe can take a lot of nexon for nothing... or maybe you can just use 1 cube to make it unique. In my personal experience, i wanted to make a decent % STR top since i cant find anyone, i used 20k maple points on an already epic top and i dont even got a 6% STR line lol.

Cubing gear is much easier if you're only aiming for 9-15% of a certain stat.
But if you're aiming for 21%-30%+, then most likely, buying it is better.

I'm aiming for 65%STR if that helps
As above said buying pre-cubed is cheaper. For me it cost an average of 15B to cube an item from epic to unique (311 cubes), but I'm sure most everyone has better luck than me. Either way I would suggest pre-cubing. Btw does using super cubes on epic pot have a greater chance of the item going unique?
Yeah, super cubes are supposed to have a higher rate of raising any rank of cube...ness.

Generally, buying pre-cubed equips is cheaper, but they're kind of hard to find if you're looking for specific stats.

Depends on what your going to cube. Most likely, its cheaper just to buy the equips. But if you are going for some really good stuff, then you buy and cube...but only really if you are super funded.
