The Art of Haggling

Does anyone still haggle prices? I feel as if that element of the game has dwindled away..
Like today. I was selling an item for 350m and someone traded me. I put up the item so he could view it, and he paused. He then said "200m" and right when I was about to compromise with a mutual price, he just cancelled O___O

Hagggling is how I always get a better price for what I am looking for </3

@AsianMapler : That was just one of my many experiences man. I'd had so many more experiences getting cancelled on the first offer than someone actually willing to negotiate with me o.o

I am always open to haggling. But it is the other person who usually doesn't want to. What i do is if that person offers a price, I say no and in the same sentence offer my price and sometimes it pulls the person into haggling.

He ASKED if it still existed because he feels as if everyone is like that, which most people are.[/quote]

Well in his story he only talked about one person doing it. And there are still people out there that are willing to negociate with you. I'm just saying that just because one person did it doesn't mean everyone will.

I haggle and try getting stuff a little cheaper, maybe at 90% of the price.
I only do that when I need to use books or something.

I see.. So it's not just me experiencing this. I think it started happening a little after the Big Bang patch. People just... refused to negotiate for a fair price and would cancel at the first offer.
It's kind of ironic to me. Everyone says "Offer". So you offer a fair and negotiable price. Then they just cancel in your face

Unfortunately no, people don't haggle much anymore. Usually there's someone selling for less somewhere and a lot more people have the ability to just throw mesos around at everything they want nowadays. Or they're merchants looking to exploit people who don't know prices..which is just really annoying. -_-

A guy was selling an item at a stupidly high price and I wanted it, so I asked him for a reasonable price and he quit.
I was selling something at the normal price and a guy wanted to for 50% off because he needed it, I said no and he quit.
So no, People don't like to haggle.
