switching to Corsair
Hey, I heard that Corsair have trouble with survival. I'm just wondering is it really necessary to have Cannoneer and kaiser link skill? I still don't have most link skills but I want to focus on those ones first but is the link skills that I mentioned a must to have right now? Also, which would be the top 3 link skills that I should go for right away?

With no kaiser link, and a level 1 cannoneer and bt link, I have 40k hp. The only place I die is Empress like @KamikazeDes said.
use % hp character card if you have them, otherwise i'd never been bother about hp
and yeah focus on da, kanna and xenon link skill
Sairs get lots of buffs to reduce damage and increase HP, etc. I mean it might not seem like a lot when you first look at the numbers but they stack up and it's nothing to scoff at. Personally on my corsair I was more interested in bossing and at that point, it was pretty much always 1-1s so HP wasn't really that useful anyway. The mobility is a little weird cos it requires you to time jumps in order to use Wings properly to avoid getting hit but it's nothing a bit of practice won't fix. I find it a pretty reliable way to avoid touch damage. Either that or just stay far far away from the boss lol.
However, it does burn quite a few pots. I wasn't fully invested in my sair but at lv 180 or so it would only take 5 hits via touch damage from SDH/FDH mobs to kill me, I think. It's been quite a while since I've played my sair so I can't quite remember. I set the potion pot to pot my HP at around ~50% using literally thousands of elixirs I had stacked up from boss runs on different chars and... well, let's just say they ran out reaaaaly fast. Then again my control was crap and so I've chosen a less-squishy character.
I'd say for a corsair, until you get to 165, you do have the potential to one-shot everything when your skills are maxed out. Therefore I'd go for all the damage boosting ones; DA (+10% dmg), Kanna (+10% dmg) and Xenon (+10% all stats). You might also consider Phantom for the +10% critical. It doesn't sound like much but it's pretty easy to max out crit rate (or get really close to it) with a corsair. The link skill bonuses provided are assuming you got the link characters to at least level 120. However, if you're deathly afraid of dying, there's nothing wrong with getting a shade to get that +10% revival chance.
I really don't think we have problems with survival. With 36k HP, the only place where I positively can't survive is Empress (after her big dumb full map attack that's 90% of your HP). I don't even have Kaiser's link, just Cannoneer's level 1 link and the typical Gollux and RA sets.
And the most important Links you can get are DA, Kanna, and Xenon. Xenon can be swapped for DS, if you want. I'd also suggest AB's character card, since it's 40 bonus DEX at level 100.
Hmm. I use HP pet, but I usually have like 41k hp while buffed with Cannoneer link skill, but WITHOUT Kaiser Link skill. (Level 187 at the moment)
About survival, DR usually gets me killed when I don't pay attention, and 1/1 is annoying since you are hit most of the time with it.
Furthermore, we don't actually have a revive skill, so it might lead you elsewhere if you don't feel very confident with bosses.
Even with that said, I still believe it's probably not as bad as you may hear it is. Maybe having to click for potions might be often, but almost every class suffers from this unless you have a pet.
About the link skill, I'm not sure what exactly you mean, but I recommend Xenon (10% all stats) and the Demon classes (Boss% and %damage).
