Here's another one. It's centered around the Final Pact skill, which I have made changes to also. It focuses on the counter that you have to reach to revive from Final Pact, where you have to choose between fast hits or slow, stronger hits. A perfect balance produces the maximum damage output. A bit too much of either and you'd either lose out on damage or die. There are a few skills to help you get into the Final Pact state, to give you extra bonuses while in the state and to help reduce the counter quicker. Even the Beholder gets in on the action, instead of being its own, isolated aspect of the Dark Knight. Not too much too say here; read the skills and author comments below instead. Final Pact-centered skills in bold inside commentated section.

[header]Damage per second (1v1, 0% PDR)[/header]

These are pretty much the high and low ends of your damage. I don't want to find the average over the course of 20 minutes, so yeah. I forgot to account for the fact that you deal a finisher hit when you resummon Beholder for the spin values. Not that it matters, so I won't care. Also don't have any values for one spin (sub-180ms) + finisher, which is probably the case in practice anyway.

[i]I have always wondered why the Beholder was like the only summon who didn't attack. Well, now it does. The blind rate is obviously for Gungnir's Descent (see Dark Knight), and the reason why it's blind and not some other effect is (also obviously) because the Beholder's an eye! I was really wondering what kind of status effect to give the guy, so thank god he was designed as (or plagiarised from) an eye. The duration of 30 seconds is a bit low, but since conventional buffing has been eradicated, I don't see it as much of a problem.[/i]

It's not like I decided to add some USEFUL animation mechanic there just because I needed a reason to make this skill toggle.[/i]

[i]No damage reflect ignore or invincibility (it doesn't protect you from status effects), but you can potentially stay immortal (not invincible) forever with Gungnir's Descent and Tainted Spear's keydown. In a perfect world. At the cost of a large chunk of damage. All the skills reducing your defense or outright damaging or killing you was obviously for this skill, and Cross Surge's 0% HP effect can only activate with this skill, of course.[/i]

[i]This skill can help kill you. It can deal tremendous damage at no cost of your time. It can let you deal even more damage with Tainted Spear's finisher by shortening spinning time. All at no cost of your time. Not sure how the cooldown thing would work with consecutive attacks, but it would work pretty well with Tainted Spear's keydown. The Beholder's blind can only stay active for half the time or so, so you might want to find another status effect to work with otherwise.[/i]

[i]Spanish, begone! While spinning is for mobbing and finisher is for bossing, you can only use the finisher while in a state between life and death. And to maintain that state, you'll have to spin. Properly balance between the two during bossing and you'll make the most out of your Final Pact time. Spin too much? Loss of damage. Spin too little? Death. Of course, there are skills like Gungnir's Descent and Dark Thirst to help you out a bit. You also get to ignore damage reflect! And it doesn't matter if you fail since you're immortal. You can always play it safe and take advantage of all your survivability skills and just spin your way through bosses as well, I guess. You'd truly be immortal then. And a sub-par damage dealer.[/i]
