i always thought that arrow blaster should act as a puppet as well simply because its a turret and i usually always take out the turret in games first.

Imo, arrow illusion should make purple arrows shoot up from the ground too, kind of like good ol arrow eruption.

Yeti: "oh lookie here, i wonder which one is the bigger threat? this inanimate glowing arrow lodged in the ground, or this dude with a crossbow firing lethal crap at me"

"must be the arrow"

Nexon. Puppet at the very least looked weak and was therefore tempting for the creature to attack, I guess.

Yeah, that's something I've noticed throughout all the classes. I get the feeling they're trying to force this one animation style on every single aspect of the game. I get the appeal of 'cool', but it has gotten to the point now where 1st job skills are just as flashy as 4th job skills. I don't bother looking at the new class updates nowadays because I know I can expect to see that same level of flashiness/extravagance I see everywhere else and it gets boring over time.

I won't be able to tell one class from another if they keep going down this road. I wish they would go back to keeping things simple and create skill animations that weren't decorated to be overly fancy, but rather stylised with a distinct appearance appropriate to its class. Like Kanna - the way her skills are animated is reminiscent of Japanese prints and paintings, reflecting Kanna's identity as a Sengoku class while making her unique in terms of aesthetics. It would be nice if this amount of thought could be seen more often. A different style for every class, rather than repeating the same thing throughout the entire game.

Including our current Arrow Illusion.

Mainly because of the white-black lightning.

@Repentant: Because all mobs are magnetic.

I swear, that puppet is probably the coolest thing KMS has done. I don't get why they didn't keep it.
They should've stuck with the puppet.

The whole concept of Arrow Illusion still boggles me to this very day. I really don't get it. Why does it attract enemies? Why does it - instead of flying towards my prey like it's supposed to - give off a fancy light show? How are arrows able to do that? With a projectile that big, it could do more than just stand there and look pretty. This is not what arrows are for.
Imagine if you could actually drive down the Arrow Illusion arrow into a monster's skull.
oh thats way cool, where did they post this? :O
It's in this book they published called Secret Story iirc. I took the image from Max's blog.
