Yeah, drop them. Unless you have a use for them(Watt/matt) they're useless. Or you could extract them. It's all up to you, they're not needed in the quests.

The quest line is glitched after the killing Coco part. It's glitched in JMS where we got it from, was glitched in Tespia, is still glitched now... >.<

The medals switch out. One medal comes out while another goes in. So its only 1 slot for medals.
