Go make a 35ish NW and try out the Shadow partner, personally the delayed shadow partner makes me really dislike the class.
NL FTW
If you had the exact same gear on an NL and a NW, you'd get better overall results (read: damage) with a NW. NW only really sucks at mobbing if you can't 1hko mobs, but when you can then it's pretty easy to train.
Coming from someone who's training a Walker at the moment you're better off with Lords honestly. Least with them you'll have a decent time killing hoards of enemies! Not to say the other is terrible at it, but it's definitely rough.
I heard that night lords were better at mobbing and night walkers are better at bossing, so take your pick.
