Coming back to Maplestory - Looking for friends to play with

Hello!

I've decided to come back to Maplestory but i'm kinda lost as to what's new and what to play. Besides, should I play a character from scratch or should I go back to Scania where all my chars are?

Any advice and welcome messages is more than welcome.
