Windows 7 help hiding Maplestory

I've been trying for a while to hide the mushroom icon from the taskbar, and I managed to change GameLauncher into an invisible icon...but when you run it it's not Game Launcher that appears, it's some other Maplestory icon and the mushroom is still very visible. And I can't seem to change the Maplestory icon - the one that appears when the game is running.

Any suggestions as to how to do this, or if there is another way to hide this icon from the taskbar?

Oh, that's how I run it...I'm trying to hide the icon when it shows up, not run maplestory.
You could try to hide the entire task bar, by clicking on the task bar and moving your mouse down. Make sure the arrow thing is showing. I don't know if you want to hide everything?
Except that if I ever want to click something else on the taskbar, it pops up and the mushroom icon is visible for the entire world to see </3
