Which Class to Choose?

Hello Warrior community
I have NEVER made a warrior before.
Infact, I only made thieves and a bucc -.-

I really want to make either a hero or a paladin, but Im having trouble deciding.
Hero seems like a class that does 1v1 well, very good and stable damage, and has ACA.
Paladins seem more integrated with Combat Orders and elemental charges. Seems that damage is right behind Heros with Blast and ACB.

How do the playstyles differ? Which will I prefer? Whats going to have my interest for a while?
Also, tell me the minimal funding amount for both please

Remember, you are persuading me to choose a class. So do your best ;D

A Hero and Paladin's play styles are not that different, the only thing I could think of that is different is their different attacking skills. Though you already stated the obvious about
Heroes being able to out damage a Paladin while a Paladin is able to survive easily when compared to a Hero.

I don't know what you would prefer because you haven't told us a single thing about you.

Most likely a Hero will captivate your interest since their true potential is reached at level 170 while a Paladin's true potential can be reached at about 14x or 15x. Though this could be subjective.

Heroes cost more if you check out their book prices.

I am not going to try and persuade you, but simply try to help you choose what you want.

I can't say too much for Heroes, but here is a Pros and Cons I thought up for Paladins.

Pros:
- Tank (Branching off on this, you barely have to worry or look at your HP bar and you barely spend money on HP pots)
- Elemental Attacks
- Combat Orders, a nice party skill
- Heal Skills
- Can block Status ailments and attacks
- Can block 1/1.

Cons:
- Bad mobility (But that is almost all Warriors)
- A good 1h and shield could be pricy
- With the release of UAs and a revamp for Warriors Paladins have become fairly popular now
- With the same funding a Hero could out damage you

*This could be a Pro or a Con: Reaching your potential early in 4th job.
