Warrior Revamp, rise pallies? Not
So we are getting closer to this revamp, so apparently it seems that nexon is trying to lower our dps, and higher our dpm, and other than the "dmg no longer halved on bosses" no offense to my fellow paladins, but other than CO we seem pretty useless in boss runs. Our defense is top-tier, our buffs...meh, debuffs...threaten?, let's face it,
Nexon needs to create either 2 things, a boss that can be aggro'd, or a skill that makes our defense needed, dmg is focused only on us, or at least monster only attacks you. Until then (I love my paladin) we will always be low-dmg, pointless defense other than to sleep while bossing. Agree?

I said that a class with status resist (ds, pally) could be stronger than a class with no status resist (hero) vs some bosses.
I know this is a pally thread, and pally have status resist, we are comparing classes.

Yep, that's us, going to bosses with like the least survivability lol.
I want a move that allows me to heal my party members some % of the time and allows me to 'taunt' or something of the sort. Like 5% chance to heal party members 500 health or something like that, just to completely change things up. Otherwise yeah, pally's are big bricks that weather the storm.
I reckon we should focus on defense, like raise our defense even more and then create a skill that allows all damage to go towards us because we are tank
I say this because NL's don't have drain anymore, and when I go empress, they seem to be the first to die. I think we'd be super useful in parties if we have a skill that can channel all the damage to use and allows us to reflect some of that damage back (like power guard does but on a greater scale)
I've never died in an empress run EVER, the only time I would die is when someone in my party attacks when empress is on damage reflection but that's a given. Usually i can afk in Czaks and CHTs no problemo

Fund yourself.
Damage is something that can be achieved by funding for virtually every class, defense is something that cannot.
Our defense is unparalleled, go play a hero if you want easy damage.
Pallies never have to worry about Seduce, 1/1, or large amounts of damage. You want an offensive defense class? Ballsy proposition.

Bleh. Sorta looking forward to it. I've kind of actually quit my Paladin for now. Still will use it for fun on a couple boss runs here and there, use it to get items for my lesser classes, and some other stuff but for the most part I think I'm done for a while. Too busy falling in love with my mech.
8 times each one of those 6 monsters.
Let's make blast hit 2 monsters while we`re at it.

I have both hero and demon slayer, with the same equips, my DS managed to solo czak MUCH faster because of the status resist. With my hero, I kept spamming my buffs because czak spams dispell and 1/1.
Even if my damage on hero is higher, DS is faster (stronger) vs czak.

Blast is 340% per hit without CO right now. Meaning, it's getting buffed by 20% in total, without considering the extra critical hit we could proc.
I loved playing my paladin before I got hacked. Last year when I played, I would hit 600k at LHC and take no damage. It was great for an unfunded guy that wanted to do a lot of damage.

Lol, you are mistaken. It may seem like a 40% damage reduction on blast; however due to Blasts high critical rate, that extra attack would surpass the DPM of a Paladin.
It's not that I hate my pally god and every person I know, knows I love him. I just think Nexon thinks of defense as a joke. Cuz getting hit less DMG doesn't help u or any person in ur party boss better. For example atk, speed, higher DMG, buffs, debuffs do

Adding strength doesn't give magic defense anymore.

I quoted your comment and disagreed because of the fact you only commented on defense.
If you were more clear about our defensive SKILLS, then I would have agreed.
I would like to see a revamp on Heaven's Hammer.. I liked the way it was before the change. No more 999,999 on bosses = Sad Paladin.

When i say defense i mean the whole skill set not only 9999 def every pally get around lv 150.Guardian and divine shield make us survive away better then other jobs

Honestly, Empress would kill you fast no matter how high your defense was. The only reason why Paladins would survive maybe 30 seconds more is because of our HP Recovery skill.
OT: The main purpose of a Paladin is to be a tank, not some damage beast. That's a Hero. I'm satisfied with what my Paladin is now, I just wish to see more of our defense being utilized. So yes, I agree on that point.

I wouldn't say your defense is pointless because I play my Paladin from time to time and it's so much more relaxing at bosses with seduce & 1/1.
It does take a LOT of funding to hit decent damage but if you keep working at it Paladins can easily be better than Heroes in the long run.
And with the next revamp you'll have even longer/more godmode and blast will hit more times which means even more improvement.
honestly, I think paladin's defence becomes overpowered (lol overpowered defence?) when we get DS 50%chance of activating...
think about it, you activate DS, u slack for 12 hits, and then u get hit ~2 more times to get another 12 hits to slack... ok, so the cd is 30s but it doesn't really matter. at this rate, guardian hardly activates...
so, i think paladin's gonna get a revamp in kmst soon <3 (i hope)
