Alternatives to Windows 8 Touch Keyboard?

I just bought a 2 in 1 Asus Tablet/PC that I plan on using for school next semester, and I'm in love with it so far. However, when I flip into tablet mode and need to use the touch-screen keyboard, it skips like crazy and is just really, really, really unresponsive and buggy. My touchscreen works fine, the Windows 8 touch keyboard just sucks. It seems almost as if I'm typing way too fast for the keyboard, and even when I slow it down its still can't keep up and accidentally double inputs or misses characters. Is there anyway I can download a replacement keyboard or fix the unresponsiveness of the keyboard? Its really irritating me to no end since I have it flipped into tablet mode 90% of the time. Any suggestions?

The normal Windows 8 keyboard settings don't seem to include anything related to sensitivity or speed, but there may be other settings available specifically for your Asus in the Windows Control Panel under the keyboard (hardware) or screen settings sections. It might take a little searching around to find any Asus specific screen or keyboard settings, but if they exist they might let you change things like how sensitive the on-screen keyboard is, or things like key-delay speed settings.
