A little redder. A little better. Revisited the older and much greener piece from last year and made it more crimson to fit the theme of a darker forest. Grin grin

I absolutely love both versions! They are both executed beautifully~
I miss the old Phantom and Crimsonwood forests...
In this town of Hallowe-
HERE I STOP THE REFERENCE GUYS.
I still remember this
still confused with the color picks though, no clue how does the blue-ish color on the trees blend with the yellow-light color on the corner. It make the whole things less scary.. but hey, I like your works!
The nightmare before Christmas anyone?
I likey but the smoothness of that road makes it look like a river?
I believe it is a river/stream actually! It's refracting light and you can see it ripple against the edges of the ground, and one of the rocks is reflected on it.

@jimmyjxia: I'm glad my input did some good! ' w ' I've been looking into working on improving my fundamentals recently so I'm glad I've made some good calls. Image hosting sites have better quality than basil I think, since you can upload at a higher resolution at all, and in different formats than JPG.
W-what, you're streaming? I'll definitely do my best to show up! c:
wallpaper link please
this is amazing <3
This reminds me of when Crimsonwood/Phantom Forest was actually a challenging maze and not a noob easy pathway.
You'd always try to avoid the Elder Wraiths, and be scared as hell when you saw one.
And when Windraiders were amazing exp. =D
I remember the original one ' w ' the atmosphere here feels a lot spookier and really has that haunted forest feel, I love it! The red glow from the inside of the trees pulls my attention and it's deliciously creepy, and the way they're placed leads my eyes from one tree to another from front to back wwwww
I can see the atmosphere and depth in the background and its well done but if there's anything I could say it'd be that it could be pushed just a wee bit more on the trees in the back to make it seem a bit further away. Beautiful illustration but pushing it more towards entertainment lighting and atmosphere could work wonders. c:

Hey man! I'm loving the input, so much that I actually went back and pushed the trees in the background further back Here. I also feel that image hosting sites are of better quality than Basil too so it'll probably look better by default.
Thanks!
You should join the livestream later tonight (unless my summer reading intrudes... womp)
Absolutely love it
Why is there light in crimsonwood forest

Do you have a link to the original one in a bigger scale? <3
Wow, that looks awesome
it'd be perfect if a little money bag was hiding on the path
but otherwise, nice job!
Wow this is amazing
Should've added some leprechauns
Omg....I'm in love with this <3
