What happened?
I logged on my beloved Battle Mage after two years knowing full well the class had been changed, but I didn't fully understand how much. I...don't know what any of these skills do and I'm very scared. Send help.
Why does BKB have a cooldown? Why can't we wear multiple auras anymore? Who is Illiad? What does Dark Conditioning even do? What are these combo skills? Are we Arans now? How do I allocate skill points?

You and I both, OP. I logged on to my BaM last night after being away from her for two years and I didn't know what the hell I was doing.
I still don't really know what I'm doing but /shrugs.
technically we combo now, but its only necessary to max out on dps which is quite impossible in GMS servers
1) BKB has a cooldown because it was a stupidly overpowered skill.
2) You cannot wear multiple auras because that was also silly. Both one and two allow for better balance now.
3) He sells mastery books. There are no more Mystery Mastery Books nor class specific books (dropped at least).
4) It's a passive that gives you speed and avoid. No reason to think about it all too much.
5) What combo skills?
6) No.
7) Max everything in each job. If you're short SP, don't max one of the Blow skills. Remember always passive -> active buffs -> attacks in terms of skill order.
