Hayato

Hayato comboes

I'm replaying Hayato after a couple of years because I want to be able to compare them to their post-revamp versions. What are some skill combinations I should know?

I'm going to come back and update this comment constantly since more will pop into my head later on, but the ones I can think of right now:

- Vapor Blade -> Sanrenzan 1x
Using Sanrenzan once after launching yourself with Vapor Blade will prevent Vapor Blade's landing delay.

- Vapor Blade -> Falcon Dive
Using Falcon Dive will make your character latch on to the closest platform. Good for moments where the platform you want to land on is slightly out of reach, so use Falcon Dive to guarantee a safe landing.

- (a personal favourite of mine) Sweeping Sword -> Falcon Dive -> Sanrenzan 1x -> Surging Blade (away from the mobs) -> Whirlwind Cut (optional) -> Hitokiri Strike
A good one if you can't 1HKO the mobs. You'll pull in the mobs with Sweeping Sword and then slam into them all with Falcon Dive to apply the damage debuff. After using Falcon Dive you'll use Sanrenzan once to remove its landing delay so you can use Surging Blade to move behind (or in front) of all the mobs, then finally use Hitokiri Strike to take them all out in one go. This one's a lot of fun.

- Whirlwind Cut/Dankuusen -> Hitokiri Strike
Good for killing mobs in linear maps. Whether you use Whirlwind Cut or Dankuusen depends on how much damage you deal. I use Whirlwind Cut because it does so much damage and it basically guarantees that I will kill the mobs once the combo ends. Dankuusen doesn't do as much damage so there's no guarantee that it will kill the mobs, but it covers more distance. Use whatever is appropriate for the situation.

- Whirlwind Cut -> Falcon Dive -> Sanrenzan 1x -> Surging Blade (away from the mob/boss) -> repeat
Whirlwind Cut can be used to rush, and I find that this combo is most efficient for bosses that need to be rushed into a corner.

The combos should be more or less unchanged. There will also be a new ability that actually allows you to chain 8 different skills at once, with consecutive increases in damage on each chained ability.
