When to upgrade spear

Hey fellow Spearmen, DKs, and DrKs~

i need to know when to upgrade my spear or how long i can keep it.
Right now i have a 116 atk pinaka with 8 str(un potted) and i was wondering if this is good enough to 13x

and if i should try to potential it
