What makes Root Abyss more desireable than Empress?
Basically what the title says. They look pretty even to me, and Root Abyss is a lot more expensive!
Can someone enlighten me?

So if I'm on the low end of funding(4-10b), I should go empress? What should I use the rest for?

they are far from even when you even take in base stats alone uses mage as example:
starts with weapon stats
fafnir (staff)
40 int/luk 204m.att
empress (staff)
35int/20luk/ 163 m.att
fafnir top/pants total:
60int/luk 4m.att
empress overall:
30int/luk 2m.att
just on top/pants vs overall you get double the stats
weapon vs weapon you get +41m.att clean and this knowing people scroll for att thats alot...
all that off base stats not counting what has been said about it above
now empress is ok still if you plain on upgrading to SW but thats 100% untradeable after so
it sort of makes it hard to sell and what not
In khaini you can get a full emp set for 300m easily, i'm using it to gear my mules lol
One does not simply compare RA with Empress. When you compare RA + tyrant vs empress, you'll see exactly why it's so sought after.
Often times, I'd simply recommend empress, however, when you reach a certain point where you can get past that threshold, you can go after full RA + tyrants. If you are missing the funds and miss a single piece, it is no longer worth while so do not go after it. Stay with Empress.

I think ra gear looks better than empress tbh, the weapons especially have more variety of colors to me

1.30% more boss, since the weapon itself has 30% boss
2.Every equip has pdr
3.More attack (from the set effect, and the fafnir weapons have a decent amount more of attack than their empress counterparts)
4.A top and bottom combo allows for much more slots to scroll, more lines of potential and another neb
5.Root abyss allows for a tyrant cape and shoes without interfering with the set effect, which are [b]huge[/b] in funding
Plus you can also get the benefit of having scrolled stats and potential from both a top and bottom vs empress as well.
More base attack and better set effects probably.
Never underestimate how much people will spend on an MMO for minimal improvement
