Smash Bros Melee matchup question
Hey all!
So my school is having a Melee tournament in a week, and they made us sign up with the character we're going to be using.
I signed up as Ganondorf, and I saw that the other competitors were mostly Captain Falcon, Mewtwo, and a character i'm not used to facing; Ice Climbers.
What can I do against the Ice Climbers match up? And if someone knows how to wobble well, will I lose indefinitely?

Tell me if theres a jigglypuff. bairs and grab rests were my thang. i hope others face the power of the jiggly.
Dude, this is a school tournament. Unless it's college and you know some competitive Melee players are going into the tourney, I sincerely doubt you'll need much more than practice to stand a chance against most people there.
Personally, I prefer faster characters, but if I were you, I'd focus more on using your side tilts than smashes, as the 'dorf possesses some decent knockback even with his basic, non-smashes. Do not use your up tilt for ANY reason, as it'll get you killed by anyone half-competent... same as the Warlock Punch. Warlock Kick, on the other hand, can catch people by surprise from a standing position (and has some nice KB).
For the Climbers, you want to kill the AI partner. It lowers the damage output, prevents some combos/traps and makes their 3rd jump useless.

for space animals, watch your spacing and bair. lf you're facing someone that knows Melee well, be sure to pick a stage with platforms so you can waveland for mobility or you'll get laser camped on FD. Ganon hits hard so they'll also die really fast if you just grab edge and knock em far enough.

you should be fine against ice climbers, ganon has high kb.
just divide and defeat. if you can get them alone with the main off the edge, edge guard hard. ganon is good at that
If you're grabbed by an ice climbers user that knows what they are doing, you will lose a stock (which is why im glad ice climbers are gone in ssb4)
What about against Space Animals? They seem like a hard matchup as well.. o.o

if they can actually keep the wobble then ya you get in dangerous % pretty e z leading to a smash
but i think you'll do well if ganon is your best. all i know is ice climbers & cpt flacon are really s tier so they migth be your worst trouble if they play melee a lot
