The Cutscene From Hell, A Short Story

So there I was... doing the quest Operation, Go! from the Heliseum questline, and when I hit the cutscene after finishing the first three rooms, I see Edea up on a rock chillin' with some Specter enemies of various types. My character is all like "O NOEZ WAT NAO", and I get ready to bust some arse then it happens. Then again, maybe I should say then NOTHING happens. Nothing at all. Period. ZERO. My character stands there like a statue, as do the enemy NPCs and Edea.

I'm like, "DA FUDGE IS GOING ON?" I try clicking Edea and my panic subsides and she says something about averting the crisis, etc. Then I realize that's all she says and still, nothing is happening. My panic is rising again, when I notice the specter has the clicky icon when I hover over it. WHEW! I click and guess what? NOTHING HAPPENS! Nothing at all. Period. ZERO.

At this point it's part panic and part anger. I'm like GOSH NEXON FIX YOUR STUFF! I've pretty much given up on it working now and I just X out the game and log back in. That fixed my Kaiser cutscene issues after all sort of... I still couldn't DO the kaiser quests, but I wasn't stuck at least. So yeah, I log back in, and I hear the usual quest notifier noise because of the event quests and all.. then I see it... the same map... the same NPCs... THE SAME CUTSCENE! The dialogue from the beginning starts again, so I cautiously click through it, then lo and behold, complete silence and frozen fear again. I say to myself, "Oh God no! Don't tell me I'm.... I'm.... NEXOWNED!".

I can't hold back anymore, I sigh exasperatedly and slump backwards in dismay. It seems my Luminous is screwed out of any playtime for God only knows how long. I start to move my mouse back up to the X again when I see it... a random flash of text... WHAT COULD IT BE? I anxiously fiddle around with my cursor to try to find it again. MY QUEST HELPER! Not visible at all and yet it's there, responding, it's CLICKABLE! I quickly double tap into it and it works! I can see all my quests, including the one giving me trouble.

With this, my hope is renewed. I say to myself, "If this thing isn't going to work, at least I can forfeit. That'll kick me out. It always does in battlefields, right?". I click forfeit, the prompt comes up asking if I'm sure. I'm sure, alright. I click yes and... what? Oh... no... OH NO... THE FROZEN FEAR! IT DOES NOTHING! My will is broken. I have no other options. I have no more energy to pursue them even if I did. I resign myself to my fate and slowly mouse over to X out of the game again. It closes, and I sit, broken and alone.

This is my story. This is my warning. Don't let it happen to you. Don't suffer the same tragic fate.
