I'm level 149 with a 54k range 7000hp plus 15%PDR would I be able to solo horntail or what range will I need?

get hero's will and a bishop, drk and u can solo/duo it.
Yea you can actually solo HT with a 30-35k as a mechanic so you should be just fine. But 7k hp? You better be on your toes if you wish to survive.
Get HB, or a bishop and you'll be fine.
Your range is fine, but try for about 60k range with 40%+ boss.
