I should've been more specific. Survival horror then. If Resident Evil Revelations 2 and Evil Within came to Wii U, I would have gotten them on that system instead waiting to get them on the PS4.
Ok then yeah, I don't think the Wii U will be seeing much survival horror beyond ZombiU. Wouldn't mind seeing Revelations 2 come to the Wii U as it's a much needed game in the series (less run and gun, more survival like the ps1 originals), but that's not looking too likely considering they kind of skipped over Nintendo and are releasing it on everything but.
I agree with all of that except that last part. One of the first games on the Wii U was ZombiU and that has a serious atmosphere. And we have another gorey exclusive coming called Devil's Third. Heck Bayonetta 2 isn't exactly kid friendly either. Although you're right Nintendo mostly deals with lighthearted games, but it's not accurate to say it's not good because it won't have any games with a serious atmosphere.

Also, @OP it's worth stressing how good the browser is by saying, short of downloading programs from sites and playing flash games, the Wii U browser can do everything a tablet browser can. I don't even stream on my computer anymore, so much more convenient since the Wii U is already hooked up to the tv.

I own a Wii U. Since I can still play with people locally, Nintendo Land is great for people not into video games. Next up is Smash for the hardcore. The Wii U is also good for watching stuff through youtube and netflix due to convenience. It uses less electricity than the Wii, meaning way less electricity than PS3 and PS4 gen.

Otherwise, it's not good since most third party supporters have left so you won't see Cod, Resident Evil, any game with a serious atmosphere.
Well what I find great about Wii U:

[*]Almost all games that come out are just pure fricken gold. Other consoles they're all decent at best, and they're all nothing but FPS which gets really boring eventually. I've loved every single game I've bought on the Wii U so much more than anything I bought on xbox or PS or PC
[*]Online is free
[*]Best browser amongst the consoles because of touchpad <3 A lot of websites and video players are compatable and work great on the browser which is a HUGE plus!
[*]No overly obnoxious ads like xbox. And what ads they do have are good "get ready for the new zelda" or something like that with deals that are totally useful and not garbage. I buy a lot of my games like that and it saves me lots of money.
[*]Can play Wii Games on it too, unlike the other consoles not having backwards compatability

Okay, as someone who has had the Wii U for a while now, let me list the pros:

- No fees to play online
- The touch screen actually has some nice applications in some games
- While on the subject of touch screen, it gives this the best web browser out of any console (can stream any html-5 videos straight to your tv)
- The virtual console will end up being amazing as time goes on, they confirmed n64 games and ds games were said to be possible as well (cos you know, basil is obsessed with the ds/3ds)
- Slowly getting a great library of games. So far we have (in no particular order):
Mario Kart 8
Hyrule Warriors
The Wonderful 101
Zelda Wind Waker HD
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
Pikmin 3
Super Mario 3D World
New Super Mario Bros/Luigi Bros U
Game & Wario
ZombiU

And coming soon are:
Super Smash Bros
Bayonetta 2 (next friday)
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
Splatoon
Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem
Mario Maker
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Yoshi's Wooly World
Devils Third

Lots of reasons to buy the Wii U despite all the haters on it.
