im pretty sure she's being sarcastic here. so y doesnt every1 just chill the hell out.

and whats so bad with animes/mangas? depending on the kind u watch/read they all have their own unique plot that gets our attention.

@Kahime : i think u should just ignore them and tell them that you dont have any interest in them, cause since ur taking the class those are the only options i see for you.
I see now that you are the only one that god blessed with a sense of what is serious, and what is not serious.
@kahime: for me, being popular is the last thing I want to be.
I'm actually just laughing at your statement right now because at the moment you just sound like a stuck up **** to me.
" oh look at me I'm so popular that guys talk to me even tho I told them to buzz off " is what you sound like right now.
I so agree. I'd hate to be popular too.
You're right, this girl is really sounding very stuck up.
Just don't bother with these people, I guess.

@kahime: if you did, then they would leave you alone.
If you were ignoring them, they would eventually get it.
If you actually called them names like weaboos, then I fully understand them not leaving you alone.
You need to have done something to them for them not leaving you alone.

Isn't that the only reason anyone wants to learn Japanese for?

But for real tho. Reading subtitles are hard man

What's wrong with that?
Don't hate the people for trying to learn!

@MegaZord lol pretty much
But seriously OP, your reasons for taking Japanese might be different from someone else learning. I can relate I really do. I'm not a hardcore anime watcher but I've been in love with the writing style and culture since I was like 8 years old (surprisingly anime/manga came much much later on). And yes I'm absolutely terrified of being lumped into that* particular group. Just don't interact with them if they bother you that much, they'll figure it out eventually.

I find this funny because I'm doing the same thing in college. I'm more surprised people are admitting they watch anime.

that makes too much sense. o.o
i dont know why your whining.
everyone has their reason to learn a language.
they want to learn japanese to read original manga and since more than half the manga in japan are not gonna be translated in english, its a plus for them.
they want to learn japanese to be able to watch anime with no subs in which i can understand.
they want to learn japanese for a hopeful day they will visit japan.
i pretty much understand japanese at 70% that i dont even need subs to watch anime anymore, but i still do since theres more i can learn.
ive learn my japanese only trough anime like more than 50% anime watcher did, then went on with books.
we all got our reasons and ways to learn japanese, its only rude to call other learners "weaboos" since your one of them learning the language yourself.
But they ask me about Attack on Titan, SAO, and other animes THAT I COULDN'T CARE LESS FOR AND ITS DRIVING ME CRAY

Say anime and manga are stupid and you only watch dubbed anime when you're not studying your japanese.
