Must-Read Books Over the Summer

I'm a bookworm. All you other book-lovers give me some suggestions on interesting/funny books to read.
And don't give me any of that Twilight crap. Also, if it's a popular book, I most likely have read it already, but post it anyway, who knows?
This. The Importance of Being Earnest is like the funniest play I have ever read.

But for books, try the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series, supposedly they are good. I think there are like 4 of them, and they were the top 4 best sellers on Amazon for a while.
Ooh, one of my friends recommended that book! I just kinda forgot about it, thanks for reminding me!

The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse. I picked up the second book by accident (The Toyminator), but it's good fun either way.
lord of the rings like the guy above me said or 1984
1984 is usually among the literature you read in school, isn't it? I know it's a classic piece of literature, but I really hated reading it in English last year lol

The Hunger Games series! (Y)
Rick Riordan's Red Pyramid series (3rd book and possibly 4th not out)
Eragon series! 1-3 (last book/4th/Inherentice not out)

A few James Patterson books

I'm planning to read all the Harry Potter books again this summer, after watching the last movie I suddenly wanted to read them. O.o
OT: I'm reading The Alchemyst atm, it's not the best book, but fun enough to read.
