Nuzlocke challenge thread
Are any of you guys doing nuzlocke challenges in pokemon? For those of you who do not know what one is, a nuzlocke challenge is a playthrough of pokemon where you
1.) Only catch the first pokemon in each route
2.) If a pokemon faints it is considered dead and cannot be used
3.) Nickname any pokemon you get so you get emotionally attached and feel sad when they die
I am currently doing a Soul Silver nuzlocke. I am right before the elite four with these pokemon
Vulcan the typhlosion level 38
Kyanchome the umbreon level 38
Alishe the Persian level 37
Riya the Poliwhirl level 39
Umagon the Nidoking level 38
Penny the Crobat level 38
What is your challenge? And what are your past nuzlocke experiences.

@ZombieOverlord: I'll probably put up with the uglyass guy again. I actually thought they made him look OK in black/white. Seems as though they always fail on the "summer" version of the characters, whereas the "winter" versions are pretty good

I realized just how atrocious movesets were Pre-gen 4 doing nuzlockes. So damn hard to get a decent pokemon.
i have some runs suspended in the gen II and III games (dropped my Yellow nuzlocked b/c gen I is atrocious), but they're hard to keep up with due to the crappy physical/special split and small movepools. i would restart a platinum nuzlocke but it's by far the hardest one (emotionally) for me to do. my previous and most memorable run was cut short due to crits from wild pokemon and a team that coincidentally was composed entirely of water types.

YES! XD Best anime/manga ever, I just finished the manga a little bit ago and have named every pokemon I caught after a zatch bell character in honor of it! So many of my teams have fallen but the invincible Vulcan 300 never fails! (I really wanted to catch a bellsprout to name it Folgore but sadly none appeared)

I want to do that, but then I realized that I'm going to have to go through the same crap again once the next versions come out.
It's a never ending cycle.

My pokemon always get so close to dying, just barely surviving self destructs with 1 or 2 hp, having my typhlosion take two surfs the the face and live, wow I need to train more @.@

It was a traumatic experience for me.
Other than that, I'm waiting for Black and White 2 so I could do another Nuzlocke run.
