i have been on this old grandpa/big robot with 5 faces for about two years now this game was made in hell..... i will never beat this game and play x2 at this rate HELP ME PLEASE

My friend wants me to play it at his house, for some reason he likes watching people make their own progress through games. I'm currently on chapter 9 or 10. I'm nervous about trying to beat the old guy. ><
XIII-2 is more interesting
