My friends been suspended on basil for 3 weeks

well apparently my friend has been suspended on basilmarket for fakalafakatunafa bandwagon I my self feel that that was not a good enough reason to be suspended I mean he told me what he posted and yeah I don't see why he got suspended for it but to the mod who suspended him it was T___T he's been telling me to post this so that the basilmarket mods and mr basil can unsuspend him but I doubt they will I mean sure suspensions not that bad a few days right? but my friend has been suspended for 3 weeks that's some wack stuff right there

Mr basil, basilmarket mods I have a suggestion to make, we basilers are restricted to post certain things I mean sure if it's like the uhmm....well you know that shouldn't be allowed but certain words which I can't mension or I'll be perma banned or suspended like my friend for 3weeks+ lol? no? ok anyways rules on this site are to strict saying certain words are suspendable or even perma banable T___T ...fail no offence but yeah i mean majority of us are 15years+ of age some even 20+ were not little kids anymore there should be something done about that and you should also send warnings like if there's some bandwagon and someone says it PM them saying if you say that again you will be suspended for xx amount of days and also tell the suspended player his or her suspension time

Moderator/rule/suggestion/suspension complaint threads have been outlawed some time ago. Many Basilers (you not included, your thread is pretty mature) victimise themselves in them and whine in them, attacking us and causing drama. They even break the rules on purpose so we have to suspend them!

As far as that "boss" is concerned: it was a bandwagon. It took us hours to clean everything up. The whole General section was a mess and it was even spreading into the Chat and Site section. That is considered a proper bandwagon and bandwagoning is forbidden. Several users had suspensions on their lists that lasted longer than a year. That means we had to suspend the same users over a hundred times for that bandwagon.
Your friend has been given a second chance. Apparently he posted it only once (I can't remember the names of the users we suspended). Bandwagons are an easy trap to fall into. Maybe MrBasil realised that too and let the single-post users sit out their Extreme without their accounts being deleted.
It's just important for everyone to remember that bandwagoning ("chain posting" being a form of that) is strictly forbidden and is extremely destructive.

If you have any additional questions, by all means send me a PM. It'd take me a few hours to reply back because I need to get my bike from the repairs shop or my own moderator is going to be very angry with me (my Mom. I'm borrowing her bike. And man, she is scary).

that was a really annoying spam and i think 3 weeks isn't good enough, a few months/perm would have done better.

Your friend got off lightly. Bandwagon warrant a deletion of an account.

Just tell your friend to not bandwagon

I saw the spamming that day but I'd like to know how it even started.

That's what your friend gets for bandwagoning. He got a well-deserved suspension.

The whole ordeal of that fakala thing was that people were making threads about it, with stuff such as, "My friends told me there's this boss called the fakala... that when you defeat it, it automatically gives you a level up! Where can i find it?!?" and other things like "The fakala... is our new God! It has the power to bring down Pink Bean and Horntail in one hit! It can even bring down Nexon!".

That day was seriously one of the annoying days, cause everyone was bandwagoning like crazy, making different kinds of threads about it.

Firstly, moderators can not uplift suspensions.

Secondly, making a thread does no good. Ticket your suspension to MrBasil with a note on why you're extremely sorry and hope to have the duration shorted.

Lastly, since we're all so mature as you've mentioned. Your friend should have been mature enough to not go onboard a stupid pointless bandwagon which made the site spam-filled and full of crap also making the whole of Basil lag for regular users.

Try obeying the rules.
Sequential suspensions have longer suspension times, so.. obey the rules more.

The whole ordeal was an obvious flood on the website, so anyone who has taken part was an accomplice to spamming, which is against the rules on the site.
