When to 5 star enhance?

Ive scrolled an empress dagger to 171 +8 but i havent hammered it yet. Should i 5 star enhance now or after i hammer and scroll? Does it matter?

if you're going to use a 5-star scroll, with the attack your weapon has, it won't matter (as long as you're using +5 attk scrolls, if it's +7, it will matter.).

@EmpireSun: it's 200+ attack for +5 attack from enhances
Knowing that then...the final atk of my dagger will be 201 regardless if i enhance at 171 or 181 atk right?
Pretty much, because you'll never end up enhancing your weapon when it's over 200 attack regardless of how you scroll it (using +5 atk scrolls anyways).
Enhances add attack to a weapon based on what its current attack is...
0-49=+1
50-99=+2
100-149=+3
150-199=+4
200-249=+5
ect.

The Math-
Enhancing Pre-Hammers:
171 atk(base)->5 enhances(+20 atk(4x5)(171->175->179->183->187->191)->191 atk->2 hammers->2 +5 atk scrolls(+10(5x2))->201 atk
Enhancing Post-Hammers:
171 atk(base)->2 hammers->2 +5 atk scrolls(+10(5x2))->181 atk->5 enhances(+20 atk(4x5)(181->185->189->193->197->201))->201 atk

So it actually looks like it won't matter if you enhance before or after hammers, either way you'll end up with 201 atk.

How did you get that? Dont enhancements one weapons with 150-200 atk give 4 atk per enhance?
I thought it was
1-50 = 1atk
51-100 = 2atk
101-150 = 3atk
151-200= 4atk and so on.
Look at my post, I think mine is correct

@EmpireSun It IS +4 for 150-199, that's a proven fact, so either you have a glitched weapon or you're seeing things

@Darklerty: Yea. It's funny. My Empress gun was 100 atk clean, 150 atk after scrolling and 1 single EE gave it 5 atk. But I do notice people often say it's +4 atk in the 150 - 199 part.

@Higguz: I have seen the tables. I was speaking from experience.
If you enhance the dagger right now. It will be 196 atk. If you finish the last slots it will be 206 atk.
If you finish the dagger first with scrolls it will be 181 atk. After the enhancement it will be 207 atk

This is using +5 attack scrolls. Different story with +7-9 scrolls.

@kaylaying: Because the amount of attack you gain from each EE depends on the total amount of attack on the weapon.
From 150 - 199 attack, you gain 5 atk for each EE.
From 200 - 249 attack, you gain 6 atk for each EE.
Etc.
Etc.
It's actually 4att then 5att per EE, but you get the hang of it.
always hammer after you're done scrolling, it does matter because the amount of attack added per enhancement is based on the current attack (i.e at this point it's +4, at this point it's +5).
