Couldn't have said it better myself.

Although I'm Christian and pretty much Libertarian, that's a bridge that I'll only cross when I come to it.

Hmm I haven't really come to a conclusion where I'm 100% for each side. I think choice is good but people can also abuse that freedom. Think about a situation where a female repeatedly engages in unprotected sex and falls pregnant over and over again and decides to abort the baby every time. Is this a responsible decision? And then there's the other side where it does seem reasonable for the parents to abort a baby because of a health complication, etc.

Oh I realised @xDracius already mentioned these issues. Perhaps a solution can be to offer an abortion at specific health centres/hospitals after some deep consultation from a counsellor.

My teacher who was a nurse told us about this 13 year old father. He was 11 years old when his 12 year old girlfriend got pregnant. He held his newborn with a loving smile

@PerfectSight it does not but religious fanatics cry over the "fact" that it hurts the baby

@Keane: I learned about condoms, sex, and puberty when I was in 5th grade in a sex ed video.

To put it bluntly, yes.
But if some trashy young lady is getting an abortion every 2 months because she's never heard of this thing called a condom, then there's a problem. But it's not our place to take that decision away from others because of people like that.

I don't quite get the whole "life" argument. It's not like most women want to terminate their pregnancy on a whim anyway, it's a tough decision that is not made lightly. They've thought through all the possibilities they can and in the end that's what they want to go with.

the future of a woman's entire life is not beholden to anyone else's opinion

abortion is logically not a 'yes/no' dichotomy. what it is is 'if you are a pregnant woman who wants an abortion then you are entitled to it'

I carry the same stance on this as I do with gay marriage.
Why not?
Until abortion points a gun to my head and forces me to do things against my will, I see no reason it shouldn't be.

The choice to not keep a zygote should be allowed, legal, and provided by hospitals.

Why?

because its a part of a persons body. people need to be in control of their own body. imagine new laws like cancer removal illegal.

wart removal illegal?
how about tattoos being illegal?
now, im not saying that a zygote is as valuable as a tattoo. i'm advocatin a persons body shouldn't be controlled by laws, just their behavior.
anything that can be removed from the body, by the owners choice should be legal, moral? not a part of legality.

agree with above "my body my choice" phrase.
