@Skyenets I agree so much about Grendel. He could've just left him alive and it wouldn't have hurt the story at all. At least kill him off with a different event, don't just make him say "peace out, my time's up".
But I agree about how long it takes to make a 30min animation. I'd love to have time to make an episode or something, but it takes too much time to make a quality animation

@DrHye: Oh originality was never this series strongest point, that is absolutely something I can say without being afraid of anyone proving me wrong. The thing that bothered me in this episode most was Grendel's cliché death. There was absolutely no reason for him to die and it came incredibly out of the blue. Perhaps later on it will be explain, but I think that could have been handled a lot better.

I guess that our standards became a bit higher over the past god knows how many years. And with all of the years it takes to finish Maple Kombat, the day that the actual episode is released, it feels like a disappointment for the amount of time it has taken.

I'm just really in that area of "I don't really care for this anymore." and in the "I could probably write something better at this point." zone. But I must admit, it takes a lot of effort and willpower to keep going with such a series for so long. Especially the animation is tough. 30 minutes of animation is not something to underestimate as anything easy.

I'm not trying to compare it to naruto mostly. The only reason I brought naruto up was because dray practically took something straight out of it lol
And no matter what I watch or play, I like someeee sort of explanation. It adds quality to the game or show or anime or whatever. The whole "omg my spidey senses are tingling" was super overused here lol

Eh, I'm starting to not like it :S
They're sensing this, they're sensing that, they've got a feeling, etcetc takes away from the story sorta. Also, some parts really don't seem that creative. If you follow naruto shippuden, the characters in maple kombat fight their "inner evil," which is exactly what happens in naruto at some point. That's just one thing I noticed At first (years ago when this series was more active), I thought it was a great storyline, but now I'm losing interest in it. Or maybe that's just because he takes so long to make his videos...

@DrHye: He's getting way better no doubt. Though I'm mostly referring to the story and such. To me anything with a good story is fine.

He's getting better I think, but when I see some of those other amazing animators, I wish they did a real series of their own :I
Although, I haven't specifically looked for one, so maybe there's one out there and I haven't seen it... Dray86 is getting way better though, I think.

The only other series I remember watching was "Lost Heroine" I think, and it must've been removed from youtube, since when I tried finding it again, no luck.
