Kevvl's giving away guides - Bossing Guide still needs an owner!

It's been way too long since I updated the guides, and at this rate it doesn't look like I'll be able to at all. At first it was procrastination, but at this point I'm literally too busy to update them both. Besides, I barely play MS anymore! I'm not really cut out for it. So, like Sapphire08 before me, I'm giving up the guides.

So, I'm offering ownership of my three guides to some folks from the forums here. Anyone willing to take up the task? Up for grabs are:

Bowman Bossing Guide It's not mine, but this still needs an owner. It has for some time now. Preferably a high level Bowmaster or Marksman who knows how to fight bosses.
I don't really think the bossing guides need much updates at all, if anything most of the updated bosses just mostly gotten easier that it can't 1 hit ko you if you are at the correct lvl for the boss now, strategy is pretty much the same
Also a possibility I'd considered. Perhaps if takio adds some boss strategies, the guide would be moot?

Up to Yellow.

Aww thanks guys ^^
I would be honor to take it
Tho, if its ok i would like to add a bossing section to the training as while.
The reason being that i also do boss training when i get bored of map grinding. @@

If it wasn't about Bowman...then I would have been tempted to do the Bossing one.

Still, yellow? Hrm. I'll see what I can do.
I wanted the skill builder, oh wells!
I wouldn\'t mind taking the training reference, but I\'m kind of bais to the normal training places and would most likely leave them out. xD
I like the odd training places becuase most lower lvl archers have a harder time at these places due to ksing, lower dmg, ect... One thing i learn on my journey as a bowmaster is that some places that seen odd to other is the best places for us<3
That's actually a good trait to have, because the Training Guide isn't just about having all the best spots. It's about having the best spots (gotta make sure to have that) but ALSO having the decent ones. The out of the way areas, alternatives for when the best places are all full up.

If you want it, it's yours!

I totally missed this question.

It's a hell of a lot easier since I'm a moderator, but basically I have to go to Mr. Basil and tell him to change who's the thread starter for the guide. If you need it done, feel free to PM me.

How long you expect that would take? O_o

Sooner the better. Go quit those characters! xD

im still interested in being responsible for a guide.i can take the wind archer build then. doesnt it most consist of training, skills, and quests information? the training spots should be the same as reg archers, and since i have a wind archer i can update the skills. and the wind archer quests are the same with all the other ck quests except you get hurricane and bow expert.
Skill Guide and Wind Archer guide are good to go, I got two highly experienced forumers to take them over. Training Guide is still up for grabs but I'm being VERY picky on who controls that one because it is easily the most important, most difficult, and most skill-oriented guide we have here in the Bowman Forum (possibly on Basilmarket). So far no one has stepped up to that particular plate.

If adolo says no to the Wind Archer guide, then that'll be all yours. Read previous posts for info on it. The only thing I'm worried about (that applies to both you and adolo) is whether your typing style can adapt to writing guide entries. There's a certain voice required for that type of writing.

Wind Archer guide is just skills, so all you need to do are change the skill descriptions and the skill builds. The Training Guide is designed to be used for all areas of the Bowman job. It's probably the most important guide in the Bowman forum!

If you want the Wind Archer guide, then I'll have ownership transferred to you later.

Unfortunately I'm not able to do it, not because I don't have enough knowlegde, but because my english isn't that good. I know alot<< yes I know alot.
My background: Start playing maple some time ago right after beta was over. Created a crossbowman-->failed at skill build so I made a hunter. Now that it's 6 years later, I've collected all the pieces of information one would need to know to create and update such a guide.

@Kevvl:

Perhaps you should suggest using so-called yellow polls to see if people want to change the current layouts or stick with the current ones.

Custom avatars never worked anyway, submitted several if I remember right, I had them turned down for quality, too similar colours, too variant colours, items not in GMS (when they were ._.)

Mr. Basil needs to start thinking what the people coming to the site want, because the way its going it going to end up the maple version of a certain forum.
For all the damage range guides, could Mr. Basil not add a screenshot uploader to them, then he/the mods/the guide owner could just tick them as acceptable, or reject them, with a PM coming back to you saying what you've missed.

I mean no offence to Mr. Basil, but recently he hasn't been coming up with the greatest of ides, the chat room thing didn't even last a week did it?

Chat room good idea, but since it wasn't actually his idea it was extremely limited (no bots). In terms of bad ideas, most of Mr. Basil's worstideas are aesthetics changes (i.e: Yellow poll). The only two genuinely bad ones that I can think of are the comment thing and the lack of custom avatars (which was a privilege to begin with).

Also someone needs to move the ''damage range guides'' back to the forum, the bowman one hasn't been updated in a month due to it being in the guide section only now, and has only had 6(?) comments (2 of them my own, attempting to revive it [*eyeroll*]), due to no-one knowing of its existence.

everything here was pretty much mathematically done already, of course I would do some stuff such as not put SA until and end and etc but this build is pretty much a mathematical build already

I got some ideas for training spots, but I don't see any problem with the temp guide at all as far as mathematical wise, what I did find so far is that arrow blow with max enhanced basics > 10 sp in iron arrow on mobs of 3 and less

I wouldn't mind attempting to update those guides, unfortunately I'm not to sure what low level xbowmans train on post big bang. I'm also not to sure what skill distribution would be best for the lower levels either. The 4th job skill distribution should be self explanatory though, lemme one or two skills can be switched around depending on training styles.
