What is wrong?
Ok so I bought fallout 3 like a month ago and I was playing it then all of the sudden it froze. I thought it was my Xbox because I have had to send it in to Microsoft before so I put in another game and it worked fine. I eventually took fallout back and got another thinking it was the disc. So I tried that one and it froze in the same spot which made me think even more that it was my Xbox and not the game, but all my other games work fine. So when I took back fallout yet again they offered me another disc, so I thought what the heck why not... it didn't work either. So does anyone know how to fix this or what the problem is?

I just read in the fallout forums and apparently all of Bethesda's games freeze or have some kind of problem and they don't work on fixing them... well thats what I saw anyway.

Try consulting Fallout3 wiki, they have hundreds of known glitches listed. There may be something on how to fix this.

If this spreads to other games it could be something wrong with your xbox cooling system.
my friend is also experiencing the same problem
Yeah I update from Xbox-live and it also freezes if I bring up the pip boy, or whatever, have not played since it keeps freezing.
I have experience some bad glitches around Rivet City, specially around the Lincoln Memorial. The sky would turn all black, and I can see streaks of white and black across the screen. Do you update your games via Xbox-live? Because the Bethesda games always have an enormous amount of glitches when released.
It is saved on the hard drive...and ive tried restarting it just freezes in the same spot....
Where I have it saved in front of rivet city and when I walk to the merchant it freezes and stays frozen.
Where are you freezing? This happens to me 3-4 times a day in New Vegas. I don't remember this in Fallout3 though.
