Ms needs an auto max skill button

Like beside the skill you have a button that lets you put as much SP as possible into it at once (so it auto maxes or you can just shove all 3 there there when you level).

'cause when they reset SP like this and someone has like 10 characters that they have to redistribute all the SP on (especially if there were no changes to even be made in the first place) it just takes too damn long.

@fun2killu: the thing is, i shouldnt have to, there security should have been high enough to the point where this wouldnt be an issue. Also if they could figure out who had been changed into a phantom, why not give them the reset scroll while they put them back to normal? its so hard to be nexon. NOT

OT: This would be great. It would actually motivate me to distribute all my sp now instead of putting it off until I actually log in to one of those characters then realizing I didn't do it and in my mind going "fffFFFFFFF-".

@kirbyhyper: It's an unnecessary improvement imo. I haven't read any other comment besides the ones I have been quoted on.

Or u can just leave it there and wait for a revamp to add it all in again
@mattpxx
on a lvl 193 char it took me about 10~20 minutes clicking
u just lag alot if u take more than 30 min
@mattpxx: 30-45 mins? Are you hands broken or something? You can easily do it in five minutes.
Considering how easily adding skills is, i don't see the necessity of it. How often do you need to reset your sp points? Maybe 1 time a year? 99.99% of the time you add the skills as you level. If clicking a few times is problematic for you, then i feel sorry for you. I doubt you spend all your time on maple doing something productive. I'm pretty sure you have ~10 mins to spare to raise your skills. And if you have multiple characters, add the skills when you play them.
My I/L had aout 470 or so SP that I needed to redistribute. If you factor that you can only place 1 SP in a skill per second then that's practically 8 minutes bare minimum and not including lag.

Even so, just because "o it only takes this short amount of time" doesn't mean that it's something that cannot be improved on. A ship ride from Victoria Island to Orbis now only takes 5 minutes (not including the wait for the ship to take off) as is the average travel time for any given ship going between 2 areas. Should that mean that planes shouldn't be a thing and Pantheon Portal should only take you back to the Six Path Crossway. In any given case it's time saved on something that really should not take as long as it does. The sooner a person finishes with redistributing their skills, the sooner they can get to playing their character.

Lastly I've mentioned a couple cases in which a button like this could be useful outside of a mass SP reset in a previous comment. Odds are you've read it by now.

Too true. It takes like a 1000 clicks to max something to lv10

@fun2killu:
Two minutes? Ha! 300+ skill points in 120 seconds? Impossible. There's even a cooldown on applying skills.
And stop going off topic. All your arguments are irrelevant. "You waste time playing the game so you might as well waste more time." "There are more inconvenient things so let's go completely off topic and talk about that!" And now we're talking about leveling to 200.

Nexon screwed up. For now, let's ignore the fact that they wasted Mapler's billions of mesos buying MW and focus on the skills themselves. They annihilated all points altogether for Cygnus Knights. And a fair amount of people have to re-assign 3000 or more skill points. This is a severe waste of time because of NEXON'S blunder, not ours. We would deal with it ourselves if we voluntarily used an SP reset, but Nexon made a mistake.

Let's be honest here. The only reason we're arguing is because of your early post on the first page calling people "lazy." And now you're here retaliating with reasons that aren't very convincing at all.

It wouldn't be that bad if the speed you added SP was the same than your clicking speed, but it has a god darn long delay that's even worse if you lag. Gosh.

@fun2killu
Okay 1st: It doesn't take "a few minutes" it takes probably half an hour if your above 120 and like 45mins once you hit 170+ for each character!
2nd: I know this is just a small problem but minor things can make a big impacts, even in games.
3rd: And I personally find training fun becasue i do spend 10384918235+ hours at aliens by myself. I rather just go pq with some friends

@sparkshooter: spending a few minutes to raise your skills is troublesome? You might find it an inconvenience to spend like two minutes clicking your skills, but I don't find it an inconvenience. Clicking to add skills is just something you expect from a game. There are far greater things in this game which are an inconvenience to players. Why are we wasting our time, talking about a petty problem, when there are greater things at hand?
Also, clicking to raise your skills is already a simple system. Might as well make other "inconvenient" things easier too. Like training. It's a great inconvenience for me to spend hours and hours of my time to get to a lvl 200 to enjoy all my skills. Nexon should just sell level 200 characters in the CS. Making people waste vast hours of time just to enjoy our skills is not justified! * end sarcasm*
@sparkshooter: That isn't lazy, that's called being efficient. If i'm not going to play my bm, why would I raise his skills? It doesn't make any sense.
Almost everything you do on this game is mindless. Taking training for example; its one of the most mindless things you can do. You're basically pressing a few buttons, hardly engaging.
Yes, yes, yes, that's all very nice whatever you said.
But it does not justify inconveniencing players.
And your argument: You're going to waste time anyway. So waste more.
Our more logical argument: Make a more reasonable, efficient, and simple system because you keep screwing us over.

Or instead of that just create a side button where you enter the amount of sp you want to add. (max is how much SP you have leftover)
there people how "accidently" press it will have to press the same button 2x and would only add 1sp becasue they didnt change the number
to how much they want.

They should just let you TYPE in the number of SP you want to put.
Cuz they finally fixed the Phantom glitch and it was easier for Nexon to just giver everyone basically a free SP reset. I'm sure people needed it.
The problem with that is that they also messed up the SP of some characters/classes in general.
This would only be needed when SP gets reset... which shouldn't happen all that often. It seems like wasted effort for Nexon to focus on something that will hardly ever be used.
Focus? You really think this would be resource-draining and time-consuming?

I really don't think it would take any competent game programmer more than a few hours of spare time spread out over a few weeks between now and the next patch.

@fun2killu:
You must love being quoted.

"leave the rest to when you decide you want to play that character."
"You can max the skills when you have to."
And you're the one calling people lazy.

Now, later, future, it's going to have to be assigned at some point.
The point is we shouldn't be taking so much time at any point to be mindlessly clicking.

@Xaiosun: Do you play those characters all the time? I'm going to take a guess and say no. Why don't you just get the main ones who need up to date and leave the rest to when you decide you want to play that character.

@ox0Shad0w0xo: assuming you play all your characters. You can max the skills when you have to.
This would only be needed when SP gets reset... which shouldn't happen all that often. It seems like wasted effort for Nexon to focus on something that will hardly ever be used.
It still has some usability without an SP reset.

Like when you level up (as stated in op) if you want to put all the SP in one skill you can do it with one click instead of 3+. Or if you pass a mastery book or two and have 10+ SP saved up you can fill it up in just one click. Sure it might not be uber useful as in these situations where we have multiple characters that need 400+ SP redistributed but it's still some time saved, and something that anyone can appreciate.

There literally needs to be auto assign. You could have a mini pop up window (like when you drop mesos) where you type in the box how much SP you want to put into one skill. I'm baffled how they haven't even done this in kMS either.

@shyally: SP Resets happen pretty often than not when we get revamps and such.

This game is made to be FUN. Clicking for skills is not FUN. There should be an automax skill button because we want to have FUN.

speaking of ignorance, I was commenting on the girl that said anyone wanting this is lazy..... I think an auto SP button would be amazing.

Haha we were talking about this in alliance. I agree it would be great. At the moment, only 1 out of 18 characters actually has any sp assigned. Because I just can't be bothered right now to go in an do all of that, since they each have at least 300 sp.

Edit: @fun2killu how is that lazy? A lot of people have 10 or more characters that are level 120 or higher, so that's easily a few hours of just sitting there clicking each skill one at a time. You're saying not wanting to go through something that tedious is lazy? lol
