At first glance, you can see that this chart is extremely inaccurate. Mechanics are number 20 out of 36 yet they are probably the worst bossing class in the game. Also, luminous is last, but they outclass many other jobs in terms of bossing. That there is enough to see how ridiculously off this thing is.

There you go.
Most updated chart out there.
Thx for finding one but sadly, the update is a bit before the NW patch so there is no Info on them. I need to find one with the NWs on it.
And the attack speed part isn't exactly right. Every attack out there has a delay speed so they just have to factor that in and the Damage chart are fairly accurate.
I am aware of the skill delay that the chart is basing on but that is not what I am referring to.
It would be awesome if each job had some kind of tutorial. You would be able to see if you liked a job or not without listening to other people but checking it out for yourself. 5k range at level 200 anyone? The character would be unable to move mesos or items I guess. It would just have the most basic gameplay.
Some classes kind of already have that in their storyline, but since most people skip that in the tutorial, eh..
But I do think that would be interesting if you could just go into a separate map and just try out the class.
(eg, like how in this screenshot, Kaiser starts at level 200, hits max damage, and you kind of get a feel for the class?)

Please dont judge... I am just like you, thinking that all jobs should be balanced but then ofc, not all jobs can just do the same damage for no apparent reason. Some jobs are meant for certain things such s bishops being the buffing person of the party, and not to be rude to kannas, but they are the training mules/partners along with Bishop being the HS'er.

And yes, Damage charts might be unaccurate but it gives you a rough estimate of which jobs are better % wise.

Since i wana compare NW and NL, And since they would use claws which as a 1.75 multiplier, to see which job does more, the damage chart at least gives an estimate of which of the two can do the most damage possible. There is no point in throwing "money" and time into the game if you go for the worst of the jobs unless you like the job a lot. I have played NL's ever since Dexless sins being the strongest. Then they went straight to crap after the big bang patch unless you were super, super funded.. They were pretty much outdamaged by even the bishops just because we didnt get out revamp until half a year later. Not to mention the fact that Mage, warrior, and even bowman got a revamp before us in the justice patch... We were tossed aside for a super long time until out revamp. DB's were still stronger than us until recently with the RED patch where we were stronger and those people start transferring over from their DBs or Shadowers to NLs.

And the attack speed part isn't exactly right. Every attack out there has a delay speed so they just have to factor that in and the Damage chart are fairly accurate. OFC there things not factored in but that stil givese us a standing of the possible % DPM.

If the NW and NL overall DPM are not to far off, i migt just stick with my NL even though NWs does have a lot of the benefits that I have always wanted on the NLs.

@Aaaayee: Not everyone's opinion are the same. I never trusted those DPM charts in the first place. But the majority of those ignorant fools who just see the numbers and decided to go with the class with highest number, just let them be.

There are always a few ignorant people in a crowd. If that is what you called the DPM charts long ago, so have several others. You are not alone.
Unfortunately, what most people new to the game go by are these charts. It takes too much time and effort to see if a character is worth playing or not.
....

why?

People should just forget about damage chart, it's not even accurate and people just take it for granted.
It's for that very reason why people always complain this class is OP this class is weak, etc. When in reality, every class should be balanced (I'm unbiased here)

It's all just theoretical damage per second which you will never be able to achieve in real situation.

No monster ever remain stationary for you to hit and all the calculators, I believe they are basing it as if everyone have the same attack speed.
