Has maple Improved your real life?

Has Maplestory made your real life harder or easier?

My Answer; It's made mine a little hard money wise before when i used to spend $$$, but it's also helped me pass time and stay out of trouble. Can't decide

Maple taught me how NOT to spend money. That's a good thing I guess.

I also made ~$1,000 from cashing out; bought some guns with that because I'm American and I can.

I've met some people who've drastically changed my life through Maple.
But, it's been for the better. So yes, it has helped. It's expensive to play though. T_T lol

Pro: I can multitask much better because I usually play while watching anime and talking to people.
Con: I procrastinate far too much, but I'd probably do that regardless. I also need to get back to exercising, but that has more to do with the weather than anything, and I don't like going to the gym.

I haven't bought NX for a long while now, so it hasn't really been that bad financially.

Merching isn't just a simple decision in a game that you can take. It has to be integrated into your life. You may be one of those cool kids that is thinking that this is a little too extreme. Don't worry, I don't blame you. Most people in society walk with the flock sheepishly. It takes those bold leaders, people not afraid to walk in the unexplored tall grass to lead the rest.
A merchant is a leader. "A leader," you ask? Yes, a leader. Those money grabbing hoes that you see in the market spamming away, yes, they consider themselves merchants. They dirty the name of real merchants. Real merchants do not lie to people and steal their items. Real merchants do not belittle the rest of the community because they can make more money. Real merchants do not rely on dirty tricks and hacks to come up on top. That is not a merchant; that is a cheater.
The type of person a real merchant is ...
I know many of you entered my guide because you did not want to spend money on this game. Whether it be you hating Nexon, you not having extra cash, or you trying to avoid social criticisms, you've made this firm decision to embark in the journey as a merchant.
The art of merching can be applied in all everyday situations. Most people will not understand that statement. A merchant is usually a leader; someone who is charismatic and knows how to get what they want; a connection, a friendship, a girlfriend. A good merchant can apply skills in game as well as in real life and game. A merchant understands that even if this is only a game, it is also something that has become integrated in his life. They are confident and smart. Also, as a very important characteristic, they know how to work with what they have and make the best out of any situation. Time management is a key to a merchant. As mesos are the currency of Maplestory, merchants understand how to play around with time in real life. By integrating Maplestory and real life, they understand when they should invest time in doing homework, playing the game, chatting with friends, going out, watching TV, etc.
These are the characteristics of the best real merchants in this game.
This is why I believe becoming a merchant is a lifestyle, not a simple game decision. It is life changing and positive if you don't get consumed in game addiction. Merching is an art and can turn you into a moral and honest person. In a sense, merching can teach you how to become a man and learn to do your own stuff instead of stealing from others or conning people. Also, by becoming a merchant, you will begin to develop your own sense of morals, ethics, and philosophies. You will begin to think and think and think. There is power in every human mind, but that power is never utilized. Merching is the gateway in which I want to connect with you guys, my viewers, in which I want to you begin thinking; begin questioning things in life. Martian Luther King Jr. said it perfectly in his Letter to Birmingham. Tension. Higher up's are afraid of tension. Why? Because the flock of sheep that we are begin evolving into wolves, into thinkers; people who step outside the crowd. Tension uproots the very nails that have been pinned down in societies' norms and the thoughts that we hold commonplace. Tension makes people uncomfortable. But tension brings about change. I want to bring about change. I cannot say what changes, but I want this flock of sheep that mindlessly walk to evolve, and I feel that in reaching out to you all in this merch guide, you can obtain so much more than just learning how to become rich in an internet game.
Merchants are commonly mistaken as dishonest people who want to steal your money. This is the negative image of wannabe, rude money grabbers that claim to be merchants.
You can read this and think I'm totally addicted to the game and think I'm delusional, but I honestly think playing this game has impacted my life very positively.
A merchant is a leader, but don't think this is only in merching. Most players are sheep who follow the crowd, unable to make their own decisions. Yes, if you follow in someone else's footsteps, can copy their successes and avoid their failures. There is indeed merit in that, but living your life in someone else's shadow, it's almost cowardly. There are a few leaders here and there. Those leaders are people who innovate and come up with new ideas, take it to the next level, and hammer the rails into the commonly accepted techniques that we all appreciate and use to this day. It's these leaders who are the pioneers of these techniques. But sure, it is safer to hide under someone's shadow, but realize that your life would be bland and tasteless. Every success you have would be something expected as you just mimicked someone, and every failure you have would be devastating as it was something that you did not expect. Be a man; be a merchant.[/quote]

It taught me how to be anti-social IRL, lost me some friends, made my wallet hiss at me whenever I went into CS, got me fired from my job.So the answer to your question is yes, it has made my life harder. But I still love it to death, like the unconditional love of how a parent loves their child, regardless of what happens.
