Conspiracy Theory --- Nexon and Meso Advertising

I'm sure you all have seen users in the FM and in other places advertising for meso selling websites. Have you ever wondered if these people are actually from Nexon? Because they can make a heck of a lot of money by selling mesos, since Nexon has unlimited mesos.

You're thoughts?

Nexon doesn't do this, and why meso selling sites now how to inform players that thier chars may be banned if they purchase illegit mesos. Hackers sell mesos, not Nexon.

110% wrong. On my... ehem.... runescape pizza slice, I can summon myself up to max money. I think nexon can do the same, seeing as how they own a billion dollar company.

The first question to ask is, has anyone bought mesos from those sites? Did you get banned? If 99-100% buy and dont get banned, I'd say there is a good shot Nexon is in on the action.

@BobRSanchez: er, I just googled Intellectual property rights in China, and it came up with: Intellectual property rights are recognized in The People's Republic of China...

@BobRSanchez: You say that the selling of mesos is just extra. But if the website itself had to go and meso farm, Nexon has the right to shut them down.
Buying mesos and selling them again is not as profitable than making your own mesos.
If this was true (I have no proof), Nexon does have the right to shut down the website.

@BobRSanchez: now the websites won't be anything if the players are prevented from giving it to them, now would they?

Reply May 6, 2011

well they are not u can know that cuz the websites buy mesos and resell them

Reply May 6, 2011

Thats probably why the value of the meso is quickly dropping......

@BobRSanchez: The U.S. government has it's laws, that affect residents of the U.S.
Nexon has it's Terms of Service that all players must obey and accept. Gold farmers=Maplestory players, since they have a login ID and everything.
@elite12311 they can't because the site isn't in the US. They host from China and stuff lmao they can't do anything about it rofl...they can't shut em down. Please learn about stuff like this before you speak...you sound like a fool thinking a game company can just shut down anything they wish.
Before bashing others, there are patent laws that prevent people from reaping money from other's intellectual works. This is basically the feud between Facebook and the Winklevoss twins.
Also, there is the ToS, which must be against any illegal use of Nexon's creation (I didn't read all of that thing, don't arrest me ^.^m) because Nexon is coming down hard on the illegal servers.
So instead of insulting another Basiler, use that time to research. You just made yourself look like an arrogant jerk.

I think they're companies in agreement for money.
Example: One company can sell x amount of mesos and pay Nexon $y.
It's just the way the world works. And we all know that it works in funny ways.

I totally agree.

They are there 24/7, and assuming that the staff members go online at LEAST once in their lifetime, they know the "spammers" are there and what exactly they are doing.

So it is totally believable when someone says that its Nexon's doing.

Lol agreed. Come to think of it, it's a great idea! The only problem is that it probably doesnt bring in much money for how much trouble you'd have to go through to start a "fake" farming company and separate websites and so on. But they are Nexon...

They give you the mesos again or you can get a refund since paypal always sides with the buyer.

OT: I find it hard to believe since it's a corporation, but I find it believable since it's Nexon.

Explain why the spammers in the fm change everyday. Also explain why they are getting banned.

This is ridiculous. MESO SACKS, Nexon already sells mesos. They don't need to sneak around in shadows, they can do it in the broad daylight. Why on Earth would they go around spamming their own game with advertisements they tell their users to report and ignore?

@kizz123 , to clear things up:
imagine you own a soda fountain that is attached to a tank with infinite coca cola. you can get the coca cola at any time you want. your soda fountain just happens to be the only source of coca cola in the universe. how do you get coca cola?
