Biology help
sooo... I'm trying to finish a pre-lab but I'm confused. The question says :
"Maurice tested foods using the same test that you did and obtained the following test results.
Food sample:
1. Bendicts test - red (positive)
2. Iodine test - yellow (negative)
3. Protein test - purple (positive)
4. Lipid test - colorless (negative)
Maurice decided that his food has starch and protein with no fat or monosaccharides. Explain whether or not you agree with Maurice, using the data provided to prove your point."
wow! ok so... I put "I do not agree with Maurice because his results for Benedict's test is showing that a monosaccharide is present. Polysaccharides (potato starch for example) breaks down to a monosaccharide when heated, which is why the solution turns red (positive). Maurice may have mistakened the reaction with the two and concluded that a monosaccharide was not present."
? I don't know if I answered the answer fully, it feels kinda empty. HaAaAaalp ;A;

Just remember that the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.
just say what each test is testing for
Considering it's a pre-lab I don't think you need a more complicated response. The pre-lab is just there so that you'd have a gist of the concept you're about to do on the real lab.
If all else fails send an e-mail to your teacher/lecturer and attach a couple of nudes.
Plot Twist: The teacher/lecturer was female, and she like it that way.
What I would do is first answer the question directly. (So your first sentence)
Then I would explain the meaning of the tests and it should end up like a huge paragraph or something a bit shorter
How long do you need it to be
Your answer is correct. Don't worry about length, as biology teachers prefer concise answers. If a lengthy response is required, just make up some BS about the chemical structures of polysaccharides and monosaccharides and about hydrolysis/dehydration synthesis.
